Xena having a bit of pole work
So after the bit of riding we were chatting and it came up that xena was sedated the last time she was clipped (had her teeth done at same time) so I'm going to work on getting her ready without.
So I started with the face clippers and worked up to the big ones. Not actually clipping but getting her used to the noise and vibrations.
Went really well
So this morning we've gone the next step and started trotting.
Had a few practice runs in the school first so everyone knew what they were doing and out we went.
Coming on fast now..
Also had a slight "incident" where we met a lorry on a corner with air brakes, with a big banner advertising a summer fayre pinned on the hedge at the side of us and people in a garden It was all a little too much all at once and caused a slight jump around, but that is all it was, it was handled lovely by Chloe and that's what I'm there for atm (the just incase factor) and as we discussed afterwards these things do happen and it's all schooling, it was all calm again a few seconds later and off we went to tackle a bridle way gate like nothing had happened.
Well done chloe and of course the beautiful xena 🥰
I'd also like to add that back in Feb when we were first discussing this, chloe said in conversation that she didn't think she'd ever get to sit on xena. NOW LOOK AT THEM 🥰 you got this chloe 💪

Chloe having her first off lead ride on xena.
We still have a way to go yet but slow and steady progress is the best
Well done to chloe 🥰
So I had the company of xenas owner this morning and following on from her little ride around the school on Friday. We went for it this morning. Chloe on board, Out out. Not too far and the lead rein as back up just incase but it's all forward steps.
Over the moon for chloe and her beaming smile makes every day worth while.
Well done Chloe Watson be super proud of yourself ❤️
Xena this morning.
Had a tantrum to start with (think Kevin style teenager, it's so unfair! I don't want to)
But with gentle perseverance she got it and did fantastic.
*sorry not the best video, it's hard to film and work at same time lol, it's more to keep her momma updated how she's going*
So Dolly had her cart on for the first time today and it ended like this ....
She is amazing! Thanks to my other guinea pig child for being the weight on the cart today 🥰
Xena day 2
Big thanks to my feral guinea pig child for helping out 🥰
One of my favourites.
Little Dolly never batted an eye lid at the tyre even though we were making enough noise to wake the dead....
Apologies to anyone in a 5 mile radius. 😬
Xena
A little stubborn to go forward to start with but I'm so much more stubborn 😆
Nice day to stand your ground n refuse to give in asking for a walk, gaining a vitamin D fix while working.
🥰
Sooo this happened today.
XENA.
was intending on a bit of mountain block work leading to laying over her but it went that well it ended up in me sitting on her.
Super proud of how she handled it 🥰
Check Dolly out!!!!!!
First bit of weight behind her
Girlie was rock steady.
Won't be long before she's in wheels 🥰
Little Dolly. Few more miles
A very content a fast asleep piggy this morning.
Not sure if I chuckled more at her snoring or jumped more when she literally did a very loud piggy snort in her sleep 😴
Dolly having her first walk in her new harness.
Little girlie done really well 🥰
Please excuse the poor video it isn't the easiest of tasks to hold reins, steer and film all at once but I'd promised her momma a little shot of how she got on.
