Lovely Luna walks on 2 legs 🤪 so she started some 1-2-1 training with us yesterday for loose lead walking.

PUPPIES.

We have seen some wonderful puppies complete our Perfect Puppy Program this weekend.

With some massive growth In confidence, improved focus and superb settle work amongst another things.

1-2-1 session yesterday with this gorgeous Boy Marley.
Marley is a 9 month old collie who has come to us for loose lead walking, recall and engagement.
Great start to the session as this clever boy learns very quickly.

The 3 Sniffer - teers have successfully completed the UK sniffer training passing their final GOLD level class on Friday.

DeeDee, Ziggy and Walter all started their journey in a bronze class and worked their way together though all the classes and trials.

🐾Everyone has learnt the target odour and we have now started to form an indication.

Our first ever Gold level UK 🇬🇧 sniffer dog class started Friday evening.

We covered water searches and people searches and you all did amazing

It was a very proud moment watching this class on Friday after watching the teams progress over each level with some members starting there scent work journey with us over 2 years ago.

🐾Great training this morning🐾

Firstly with the sniffers, we had 6 dogs all passing the bronze course and was very well deserved. All round great indications with all the finds being found with ease.

Bailey just breezes through everything he does which is awesome considering he's only 5 months old.

Pipkin was like a different dog today, not taking the easy routine and giving clear indications and even going back for a second indication

Jasper is another rocket searcher who will give a sit, down and nose touch indication, just to make it clear where the scent is 🤣

Poppy did amazing to work around a class of other dogs due to some dog aggression as unfortunately she experienced some trouble in her past. She had a great clear indication and slowly was working closer to the other dogs, even standing close to Jasper for the picture.

Both Sam and brodie did amazing 👏 very good clear indications with a freeze indication really coming through today, making everything look easy

Obedience class.

Benji is becoming calmer in class and picks up everything so quickly, his leave were awesome today, treats everywhere and he still left them

Maci the little sweety again takes everything in his stride and has an amazing settle.

And finally Reg, lovely and calm with a great loose lead walk.

Super well done to everyone in the classes today, you should all be proud of the work you and your dogs are doing and everyone has progressed in there own way

Congratulations to Rosie Fern you have been nominated for Silver Instructor of the year 2022!

“ She is amazing explains everything clearly and calmly . The folks I originally started with we are still all together we love our meet ups we finish with a lovely chat over coffee . Rosie definitely needs to be acknowledged for the work she does . My excitable spaniel has calmed down no end, his breeder and other exhibitors have mentioned how his focus with me has improved since doing scent.
If he gets bored at a show, we do a bit of scentwork to keep him engaged, this has changed our working life together

🐾A very busy day training today.

🐾First is our continuous obedience class, which people mainly wanted loose lead. Just the second week in and we have some super walkers with much less Pulling.

🐾Second class of the day - bronze sniffer dog. Incredible improvement with the dogs sniffer out a rice size piece of Kong.

🐾Third class of the dog - Bronze trials. All 3 dog absolutely smashed the trials with not a single dog going over 30 seconds to complete each stage, just amazing, distinctions all round

🐾You asked and we sorted it. We now have another obedience class which will run every Sunday morning 9am at hilcote.

🐾Covering all the basics, loose lead walking, recall and everything in between.

These 2 are doing amazing together.

Both boys are rescues who both had hard starts in life, entering numerous homes and rescues due to both having typical traits for the breeds as well as behaviour issues. Both boys with Boyd in particular being reactive to other dogs.

We now have them in the same room together but without play being involved (as to keep them both calm) whilst also still working with the safety of a divider to carry on building a neutral trust.
