My Story

Hi, my name is Sam. From the age of 13 I knew I wanted to become a dog groomer.

When I was 15, I completed 1 weeks work experience at a dog grooming salon where I then volunteered until I was taken on as a Saturday girl. I worked there for 2 years, during which time I completed an 8 week intensive dog grooming course.

In 2013 I became self employed and set up Dashing Dogs, offering 1 to 1 dog grooming in Alfreton, Derbyshire.

I regularly attend dog grooming events, seminars & training days. In 2018 I completed the City & Guilds level 2 dog grooming qualification, I then completed the City & Guilds level 2 dog walking qualification, the City & Guilds level 2 pet sitting qualification and the OCN level 3 dog grooming qualification in 2019.
