I thought I’d reintroduce myself as I’ve got a few new followers.
So, hi! I’m Lois
I am originally from the south coast I came up here 5 years ago and never left.
I fell in love with the area and I love nothing more than spending my time with dogs and in the outdoors either on the beach or in the woods…
So… I combined the 2 and became a dog walker!
I have had dogs since I was 10 and at one point we had 8 dogs and a cat!

I have volunteered and worked in dog rescue for years, and have experience with a huge variety of breeds, sizes, temperaments and behavioural issues.

Sonny, my German Shepherd is dog reactive so I am very vigilant on walks ensuring I do everything I can to keep him under threshold and keep everyone safe. I am a fierce advocate for leashing your dog when you see an on leash dog (it’s just good dog owner etiquette).

I’ve learnt a lot about dog body language and also breed specific needs.
I incorporate breed specific outlets in my walks, whether it’s a working line spaniel that needs to use its nose, a collie that needs a herding outlet or a bully breed that loves a good game of tug.
I also know how important (and tiring) it is for a dog to use its brain and nose. So problem solving and scavenging treats are a huge part of our walks too.

I am by no means a dog trainer or behaviourist, however I do have a wealth of hands on experience and I’m more than happy to follow guidance from your dog trainer if you have one to continue your dog’s progress.

Narla can be unsure of other dogs but she loves playing with Eddie and he gives her confidence and he encourages her to walk further. She can bit a bit stubborn sometimes and when she’s had enough, she’s had enough but she did well today!
