I’ve been offering EmmiPet Ultrasonic Teeth Cleaning since January & the results have been amazing.

Here are a few before & after pics of a few dogs that I’ve been working on. They have all done a block session to really get the plaque & tarter under control & have come in for a 30min session every week for 5 weeks. All plaque & tarter has been removed & you can see the gums have gone from an angry red to a healthy pink colour. I will now be doing maintenance cleaning when they come in for their regular grooms.

I can’t recommend this service highly enough, it helps prevent costly vet trips & anesthesia having to be used.

Please contact me for further information.

🦷February is Pet Dental awareness month🦷

Routine dental care is a very important part of your pet's overall health.

There are many reasons why a dental condition may develop in your pets. One of the most common causes of dental issues is when bacteria and food particles collect along the gingiva (the gum line).

This can develop into plaque which then hardens into tartar. This causes irritation and inflammation in the gingiva and surrounding areas, also known as gingivitis. Usually, this is the first stage of gum disease. It is estimated that 80% of cats and dogs over the ages of three years old will show some signs of dental disease.

I am pleased to say I can now offer ultrasonic teeth cleaning for dogs using the Emmi-Pet toothbrush..

HOW IT WORKS

I use an ultrasound toothbrush (each dog has their own personal toothbrush) and a specially formulated ultrasound toothpaste. Ultrasound reaches deep below the gum line to kill germs and bacteria and cleans the teeth and gums to prevent the build up of plaque and tartar. At the same time it increases the blood flow to lesson the risk of gingivitis

VIBRATION FREE WITHOUT BRUSHING

The soft bristles are held against the teeth/gums allowing your pet’s teeth to be cleaned gently without the irritation of vibration or noise.

REGULAR TEETH CLEANING IS RECOMMENDED BY VETERINARIANS

Regular cleaning is the most important measure in the fight against dental decay. Ultrasound (air waves – air oscillations) perform the cleaning so brushing is not necessary. Ultrasound cleans more effectively than regular brushing, destroying bacteria even in gum pockets.
Although I would recommend more regular treatment, even having your dog’s teeth treated when they come in for grooming will be beneficial, as the ultrasound waves kill bacteria right under the gum line and will help to keep your dog’s teeth healthy and consequently improve his overall health. If you notice a build up of plaque, you can book a course of sessions to get back on track.

EFFECTIVELY REDUCES
* Gingivitis and periodontitis
* Oral cavity diseases
* Plaque and tartar build up
* Bad breath

It is estimated that by the time they are 2 years old, 80% of dogs begin to show signs of oral disease.
By using ultrasound tooth cleaning as part of a regularly scheduled routine, you can help to avoid taking your pet to the vet for a professional scale and polish, which can only be achieved with full anaesthesia. However, annual check-ups by your vet are still essential. Please note that most pet insurance companies have these check-ups as a condition to their policies.

CHARGES

First visit includes consultation, your dog's own toothbrush and treatment (30 mins) - £45
Subsequent visits - sessions last between 15-20 minutes - £25

This is a preventative treatment & should be started as young as possible. Results will usually require more than one session but will be discussed after the consultation.

Please feel free to ask me for further information & availability 🦷🦷🪥🪥
