🐰 This little rabbit was brought into HART after being found in one of our volunteer’s gardens next to two dead siblings. At only 37g she is estimated to be around only 48hrs old!
She has a long way to go but is already taking feeds very well and putting on weight nicely.

🦅 Last month we admitted this young Red Kite after it was found grounded at a fishing lake. Kites “play dead” as a defence mechanism, as this one is doing! It seemed to have been struggling for a while as it was underweight and suffering from flystrike.

After a few weeks in care, putting on weight and building up strength, we are pleased to say that it has been released back to wild!

🐰 These two leverets were sadly wrongly picked up. The finders were only doing what they thought was best for the leverets, but it’s situations like this which emphasise how important it is to contact us for advice before intervening! Hares will leave their young alone above ground for the majority of the day only coming back once or twice to feed. These two leverets arrived in very good condition for their age and so it’s incredibly unlikely they were truly abandoned.

🐟 This young Great Crested Grebe was found outside The Deers Hut pub in Liphook. Found in brambles, far from water, with puncture wounds to the chest we suspect he was attacked by a dog!

Luckily he was very bright and eating well, the team started him on a course of treatment and after a short stay with us he was able to be released back to the wild!

💙 We are currently in need of blue roll, saline and cotton buds. If you are able to help, please consider purchasing an item off of our Amazon wishlist to help us care for our many animals. We appreciate every donation!

💙 We’re currently in need of blue roll, sterile flush, and cotton buds. Donations can be purchased from our Amazon wishlist and all donations are hugely appreciated by our team!
