Our practice is taking part in the 2024 Antibiotic Amnesty!
Throughout November 2024 we are asking pet owners to return any unused or leftover antibiotic medications to us for safe disposal.
Please drop off any unused medications to us at the practice. You can hand them in to a vet, nurse or the reception team.
This medication might be left-over from a recent prescription, antibiotics that you didnโt
need or out-of-date medication. Letโs keep antibiotics working, together!

๐National Black Cat Day was created by Cats Protection on 27 October 2011 to help celebrate the majesty of monochrome moggies and beautiful black cats ๐
When the campaign was launched, statistics revealed that black and black-and-white cats took, on average, seven days longer to find a home compared to cats of other colours.
These two fabulous felines belong to Nurses Katie and Louise

Summer is over โ if it ever arrived in the first place! โ and colder weather is on its way.
That means that for many of our older pets, arthritis symptoms will become more noticeable, whether we knew they were suffering from the condition or not.
Whether your pet is enjoying exercise less than usual, moving more slowly or just generally not their usual selves, arthritis could be the reason.
The good news is that there is plenty we can be doing to help โ and weโre offering the chance to check your petโs condition with no charge.
If you suspect your senior pet has arthritis, simply book a free health check today and weโll see what we can do to help make their golden years as happy as they deserve.
You can book through our website here: https://www.cedarvet.com/book-an-appointment/
๐ถSay hi to Patrick!๐ถ

Watch along to see his day with us!
๐ฐ๐ฐ Say hi to Buttons and Crumble ๐ฐ๐ฐ Buttons owners had noticed she was quiet and not eating as much as usual so they popped her down to be examined. Rabbits are susceptible to gut motility problems so immediate action is required. An intravenous cannula was placed and fluids were started to help rehydrate her along with supportive syringe feeding to get her guts moving. Her friend Crumble came to keep her company and to avoid any separation related stress. After a day of treatment Buttons was discharged that night and came back for a final check the next morning.
๐ถ๐ถ Meet Bonnie! ๐ถ๐ถ Bonnie came to see us at Cedar Vets Alton to have a little lump removed and a dental. Watch along to see her journey. Bonnie is now back at home relaxing with her family.
