Yep, sometimes I share my ice cream with my dogs 🙈
Really repping that recall with Jude 👊
It isn't always pretty!
Sometimes my training is sloppy, I make mistakes and my timing isn't always perfect.
Just because I understand the application and I can help others with their dogs doesn't always mean my training looks amazing. Do my dogs stand out over the average pet dog? Yes they do but that doesn't mean I don't make mistakes or run into issues.
Here is a true video of a 'sloppy' training session, but we still came out of the session better than when we went in!
This smart boy impresses me more and more everyday 💪
From nervous little wreck to this crazy, confident lad in just two weeks.
Little Bobby is actively choosing to play and engage outdoors now which is such a massive difference to the wee lad I first picked up! He's learning how to be neutral around other dogs and not just obsessively play with them. He's a super sweet lad! ❤️
Forever working on our relationship, this dog gives me so much!
We absolutely LOVE dog sitting this gang!
Do you have multiple pets but still need someone to come and check on them in the day, let them out for the toilet and give them some love?

Do you have a release cue for your dog?
For myself, the act of removing the lead does not release my dog from his position. Rather, my voice or my visual cue does.
Leads can snap, equipment can become faulty over time and mistakes happen. Something could come round the corner the moment I unclip and I might need to swiftly re-clip the lead on. This would be extremely hard to do if the moment I unclip the lead means my dog can run.
This is also a really good way to measure whether the dog is paying attention to the handler. If the dog is switched on, listening and waiting for the release cue, then you know that the dog will be okay to be off lead. If the dog isn't listening, and isn't in tune with the handler, then the dog should remain on lead.
Over the next week, practice putting your dogs lead on and off again while they remain in a sit or a down. When they have remained in their position with the lead unclipped, give them a verbal cue such as "break" or "okay" and let me know how you get on!
Good luck!
Impulse control level MAX.
There is nothing in the world more important to this dog than a ball, and we have this quick of a call off while he is mid chase..

Are you introducing a new dog or puppy into the home?
Precautions should always be taken when introducing new dogs to resident dogs, no matter how friendly they may be.
For the first few days, this is what any introduction is going to look like. Through crates and barriers such as baby gates. We will do some parallel walking with the dogs where they don't get to interact.
This is all done so the resident dog doesn't feel overwhelmed by the new presence in the home, and I can properly assess how each dog is going to feel when they have a real interaction.
So far I have seen, Akio likes Gaara until Gaara begins to paw at him or get too hyper then he becomes avoidant.
Akio also isn't happy with me showing Gaara any attention.
Akio resource guards, which is well managed. But Gaara is a very serious breed, so also resource guards; I must be mindful of this.
I will not force interactions between two dogs, as I don't want any negative experiences for either. These things take time and so they should.
