We love Alvechurch Dog Park being used to meet pooch friends, human friends and family. We don’t mind you bringing a coffee for a catch up or picnic for a social.

Whilst we are extremely thankful to everyone for keeping the dog park a clean and tidy space for everyone to enjoy, we do ask that customers please bring all your personal waste back home and dispose or recycle it yourself.

The bin in the park is for dog waste ONLY.
The bin has been emptied twice this week alone, as it’s been overflowing due to being full of takeaway bags & wrappers, coffee cups, plastic bottles and sanitary towels!! Which leaves no room for dog waste.

We want to provide the best service we can for our customers by providing a bin so you don’t have to put dog poo in your car but if it is continuously abused we sadly may have to consider removing the bin and all waste will need to be taken home.

We’ve recently had a couple of complaints about the mud and wet in the park and want to address our decision to remain open.
While we appreciate the conditions are unfavourable in the park, we are battling with our wettest winter since opening!
We try to keep the gate and seating area as clean as possible by adding wood chip regularly.
As much as we would love to change the weather we unfortunately don’t have a magic wand, and beyond the wood chip, it is a field and it gets wet and muddy with all the rainfall.
Appropriate apparel is advised in the T&C’s when booking - this is an outdoor activity, you and your dog will get wet and muddy when the weather is bad - it is a field in the countryside.
We have reduced our hours recently on the booking site to reduce the footfall and protect our field but we remain open as we know not all our customers are fair weather adventurers and some need to exercise their dogs in a safe enclosed environment despite the weather.
So please when booking check the weather forecast and be prepared to get wet & muddy.
