That was our most challenging event yet but we went ahead and people were still smiling at the end of the day. Despite the odd (!) downpour we still provided a busy dog show and an afternoon packed full of activities, entertainment, crafts, competitions, food and fun.
A massive thank you to our lovely visitors who turned up to support the event, our stallholders and our entertainers.
Lots of thanks are due: to our wonderful sponsors who cover most of our costs - you can find our partners here: https://alvechurchpicnic.org/our-partners/
Thanks to Alvechurch Parish Council for loaning us The Meadows and for all their support in the run up to the day. https://alvechurch.gov.uk/
To The CanoCoach and all the wonderful class sponsors who sponsored the dog show and to Sarah-Jane Barton who judged all the amazing dogs. You can find details of the sponsors here: https://alvechurchpicnic.org/dog-show-2/
To Ryan Cush from Music Academy Midlands and his team who put on the whole stage and music system and support us so brilliantly throughout the day. https://www.musicacademymidlands.com/
To all the amazing stallholders who had put so much effort into their wonderful stalls to please the crowds.
To our raffle prize givers - this is always popular and helps us raise money for local projects.
To the entertainers with their stunning performances to keep us entertained and smiling.
To all our hard working volunteers who turn up and help out tirelessly each year to keep us all safe and organised.
To Andy Thurgood from MARS who gives up his free time to provide an exemplary first aid service. https://marsbasics.org.uk/
To our logo competition entrants - we love having our logo designed each year by local children.
And last but definitely not least the small team of people who work tirelessly, free of charge and throughout the year to put this event on each year: Louise, Natalie, Tony W, Sam, Jude, Tracey, Eleanor, Tony B and Nick. I, Sarah, have the privilege of working with this amazing group of volunteers. And let's not forget their family members who we rope in each year to help.
A MASSIVE THANK YOU EVERYONE WHO HELPS MAKE THIS COMMUNITY EVENT THE WONDERFUL DAY OUT THAT IT IS.
And thank you for supporting each year, come rain or shine.
