Paws By The Lake - Ambleside Hi! Caroline & Fernie here. Welcome to Paws by the Lake at Waterhead, Ambleside! We offer harness and coat fittings too.

We have everything for dogs that are running around the Lakes having fun! We stock great natural snacks from Anco plus lots of other brands, plus energising food from Orijen, Canagan, Lily’s kitchen, James wellbeloved, Carnilove and Wilsons Frozen food. Dog of the day was lovely Milo. He's was on here as a puppy and here he is at 6 months old. He was a tad shy coming into the shop, but after many cuddles, snacks and playing ball he was right at home! ❤️ 🐾

Our Story

Welcome to Paws by the Lake, our shop at Waterhead, Ambleside which combines both a Dog Supplies shop and gift shop for pet lovers (and even has a pet photography studio within our PAWS Photo business, upstairs). After taking over the business and premises in March 2017, Ian & Erika have completely changed the Paws by the Lake ‘pet shop’ into a more focussed supplier of products to suit the active ‘outdoors’ dog, and it’s owners. In addition to the regular treats, toys, foods, coats, leads and collars, we now stock extensive ranges of harnesses, walking belts, dog boots, performance leads and accessories, buoyancy aids, backpacks, and much more. We also offer assistance with selecting and fitting the best products to suit you and your dog. We do have a website, but do not currently offer online sales.
