I was so so happy to meet little Rosie (was missing) from Berko in person after speaking with her family as part of . It was a little heart breaking but amazing to see her home. She has a long recovery both physically and mentally but she is a strong little girl. Thankyou from the bottom of our hearts for all of your donations and support. Barb x x

Last Saturday one of our 'own' (Doggy Treats) asked us to go out to help search for a little Black Poodle called Rosie in Hemel Hempstead who had gone missing on Wednesday 7th while on a walk with a family friend while owners were on holiday. We met the owner who had returned from their holiday immediately. We were 2 days behind the last sighting and areas were woodland and vast farmland which had been combined and farmers were all over the place with tractors as we flew. We didn't find Rosie. We have supported the owners on whatsapp group chats and were relieved to receive a whatsapp yesterday morning (Monday) to say that Rosie had been found by a member of the public, 9 miles away from where she went missing. Initially it was thought that Rosie was fine, however maggots were found crawling all over her, not just a couple but hundreds, she was taken to the vets immediately, after an examination, bath, antibiotics and a drip she was x-rayed, it was found that she has a shattered pelvis and a broken leg. No one knows how long she has been like this but had been missing for 7 days. Rosie is currently at the Royal Veterinary College where they are assessing her and deciding how to go about operating on her. Her owners are not insured and have the minimum of a £10,000 vet bill, having had to find half of that yesterday as a down payment. The owners friend has set up a GoFundMe page and we want to share it with you. No dog should suffer as Rosie has and is and no owner should have to worry themselves sick that they do not have the funds to cover a vet bill when the worst has happened. They are horrified to be in this position without insurance, and do not want to ask for help after so much help has been given by the community that they live in, BUT, we know what the owners have been through and continue to go through and little black miniature poodles are close to my heart after receiving 1 for my 5th birthday a 'few' years ago so here is the link for the GoFundMe page.

An update from this afternoon. It was found that the maggots had got into Rosie's flesh and worse than originally thought so that is being dealt with and while still hugely vulnerable the vet is willing to operate on her broken bones so she should be having her operation now. The fundraising page has already SMASHED all expectations but more is needed.
After the incredible fund raising efforts for our drones can we do it again for Rosie?
