Good Dogs Life Skills class this morning absolutely smashed their training 🤩 ✅️Proofed training in a new environment, today it was town centre! ✅️Worked on; Engagement Loose lead walking (even with public passing, public dogs and dogs in class crossing one another and coming head on!!) 'Stranger distraction' (aka weirdo India) being a distraction and trying to call the dog over to her (all dogs stayed with their handlers!) Middle Release ques for 'break' time Intro assistance work for our ADT ✅️Finished off by settle training and a well deserved hot beverage in the wonderful The Travelling Cupcake Andover ! 💫One to One UK Sniffer Dog training 💫 Whether you don’t fancy a class environment, your dog may be uncomfortable around other dogs or you simply want attention to detail and full focus, this is for you! During your personalised sessions we work on the following:- 🐶Scent recognition: Giving your dog the understanding of what they are to be searching for 🐶Search: Teaching your dog to search certain items methodically 🐶Indication: You will be teaching your dog to indicate once they have found the scent In our 4 week One to One sessions we will be working through series 1 and 2 Beginner Bronze, where you will also be introduced to our first Scent Hide! We completed our first Workshop on Friday and it was absolutely brilliant! 🤩 Four teams aced their Introduction to Mantrailing & Tracking Workshop! In our workshop the teams; ✅️🐕Learnt about the dogs nose, how they can hold onto a specific scent and track that scent! ✅️Long line handling ✅️Introducing our dogs to scent articles and tracking the trail ✅️Finding our 'lost' human successfully! ✅️Discovering the dogs favourite rewards (One of the dogs favourite rewards wasn't food or toys.. it was BUBBLES! 🫧) ✅️Advancing our teams tracking even further and completed the workshop with a blind search (the handlers nor dog knew where there hidden person was, the dog had to use their superpower sniffer and find them!) Jack adores his mum & dad, and can sometimes find it difficult to stray away independently and commit to indicating multiple times on where the Hide is. Highlights of being a Dog walker 163 Guess who rolled in very fresh very stinky horse 💩 Oh yes, it has to be our whitest adventurer! 🤍 He had a great time, thought he would share the smell with us all 😅 Luckily, our van has a installed power wash and dog shampoo ready and waiting!
