⭐ Alfie was a little star today. I have been working with alfie over the past few months as he can be super anxious in the grooming environment. Little and often has really helped alfie plus he has a fab supportive owner who wants to make sure alfie is happy.

***Please Keep Dogs out of the Water at Anton Lakes***

We have received a report of a dog sadly passing away following a walk at Anton Lakes over the weekend.

Though no cause of death has been confirmed with the council, following feedback from the vet the water at Anton Lakes is currently being sampled to make sure there are no signs of dangerous blue-green algae.

Blue-green algae occurs naturally in bodies of freshwater, but some kinds can be toxic to humans and lethal to animals. Whilst we await the results, the council are recommending that people and pets keep out of the water. I don’t yet know when we will have the results but I will share the information as soon as I have it.

Please don’t go all lack of fuel crazy over this, just be aware and mindful 🙏

Dog and cat vaccines are in very short supply. Your vet may ask you to delay the vaccine by 3 months, that is totally acceptable and falls into the vaccine guidelines.

The pups and kittens need them, but most of all the rescue pets who we have no idea of their immune status.

Please, this is not a vaccine discussion war, just a heads up. Remember there is the option to titre test…(but not for lepto)
