Bentley and Lisa have raised £200 for Battersea dogs and cats home.

They have done this by completing the muddy dog and from all your donations in store and online.

So thank you to all of those that donated your money will be passed onto Battersea to help the dogs and cats that have in their care find new homes. 🐈🐶

🐾 Less then a week to go 🐾
Our much loved shop dog Bentley and his owner Lisa are taking on the muddy dog challenge on the 18th of may.
The muddy dog challenge is a 5k race with obstacles to jump over, go under and crawl through along the way.
By doing this we are also raising money for the Battersea dogs and cats home.
our aim is to raise £200 so we would appreciate anything you can give.
Battersea dogs and cats home rescue and rehabilitate cats and dogs who have been abandoned or whos owners can no longer care for them. With the hope to find them all new homes.
The rescue is completely reliant on donations and fundraising like this.
Your money will go straight to paying for the care of the animals in their centres waiting to find their furever homes.

This week, we had a visit from this beautiful rescue from Hungary. Bertie is a 3 year old Cockerpoo, visiting for a fitting of harness and collar. The chosen brand was one of our newly stocked Doodlebone ranges.
Bertie arrived in this country on the 12th of January this year after being adopted from the Hungry Heart's Dog Rescue organisation. What a lucky dog to have found his new forever home on the edge of beautiful Wiltshire. We look forward to seeing a lot more of you

To finish ID week we are going to highlight the importance of microchipping.

A microchip is a tiny implant that is inserted under your pet's skin. It contains a unique ID number that can be scanned by a vet or animal rescue.
This means they can identify your pet if they are found missing or injured and contact you.

It is important to make sure that your pets microchip is registered to the national database and that the pets owner details are kept up to date. This is especially important when buying a new puppy/ kitten as the microchip may be registered to the breeder so the details will need to be changed to the new owner to make sure the pet can be reunited with the right owner.

It is a legal requirement for all dogs to be microchipped and from the 10th of june 2024 all cats over the age of 20 weeks will need to be microchipped too 🐾 🐈🐶
