Kim Bailey Racing

Kim Bailey Racing Jump racing will appeal to anyone that has a love of horses and a spirit of adventure.
(31)

Kim Bailey has trained over 1300 winners and is lucky enough to have achieved the magical "Big Three", The Grand National (Mr Frisk), The Cheltenham Gold Cup (Master Oats) and The Champion Hurdle (Alderbrook). Since arriving at Thorndale Farm in September 2006, we have been reflecting on what it is we really want to achieve here. In our stunning Cotswolds location and with top class facilities, we

’re confident that we can offer a first class training set up which owners will love and more importantly so will their horses. One of the key aims of Kim Bailey Racing is to ensure our horses are trained in a safe, relaxed and professional environment using training methods which unite orthodox procedures with an individual approach that generates the best possible performances from the horses. Kim’s hallmark has been the ability to blend strict training discipline with the patience and individual care that is given to each and every horse in the yard.

‼️REHOMING OF RACEHORSES‼️

We are looking to update our Rehoming list, as the season is drawing to a close there will be a horse or two looking for a new career.

If you are able to provide a forever home to a retired racehorse please email me [email protected]

We pride ourselves with finding our horses great homes after their racing careers are over.

So the following details are very important in the match making process.!
- Mare / Gelding
- 15.2-17.2
- What discipline you’re looking to do ie:
Hacking/Beach rides/fun rides
Unaffiliated/riding club events

It is with a heavy heart that I have to say the time is right to retire my favourite racehorse First Flow. He had a very hard race at Lingfield and frankly with the handicapper raising him to a rating of 160 (dropped to 159 last week) this making him the highest rated 12 year in training, it leaves me with very few options for the old boy. So, time to say enough is enough, but what a phenomenal horse he has been to train. First Flow’s story is probably well known but I have told it again on today’s blog on my website.

🚀First Flow ran 28 times. 12 Wins, 6 seconds, 3 thirds and 2 fourths.. Total prize money of £307,409.00🚀

What a star he is.

Many thanks to Tony Solomons for being his most wonderful owner. Sadly, Tony is not in the best of health so his colours like his horse will be retired.

Thanks to David Bass for riding him the way he liked. David, understandably adores him and is the only person to have won on him, they were made for each other both brave, determined, tough and quirky but don’t we love that in horses!

A huge thanks to all my staff who have looked after him and loved him, even when he stood still for ages looking at the wonderful Cotswold countryside when he should have been doing something else.

And finally, a big thank you to Tony’s daughter Nicola for allowing me to keep the old boy in training for her father.

There will be few others as tough and enjoyable to train as FF. Thank you for being the horse that I just loved. Finding a next suitable home for him will be difficult as I loath to say goodbye to him❤️

Does He Know is all heart as he wins the Grimthorpe Chase under a cracking ride from David Bass. A great performance under top weight and testing conditions! Lovely to see these colours back in the winners enclosure. 💙

Congratulations to the Yes He Does Syndicate🍾

Huge thank you to our brilliant team at home 🌟
