The dreaded grass seed season is almost upon us . Please check your dogs after every walk particularly paws and ears. To make this easier we are offering a paws and ear trim as a separate service in between grooms.

A beautiful tribute to Paul O’Grady as he is laid to rest today
All was subdued in the kennels
Not a whimper could be heard
Sadness filled each canine heart
For Peggy had passed the word
That their gentle friend and soulmate
Would no longer come to play
For he had to cross that rainbow bridge
And that's where he must stay
A pug shed tears of sorrow
A spaniel hung his head
Not one tail was wagging
How could their pal be dead?
It didn't seem to matter
If you were large or you were small
This smiling soul with tenderness
Would reach out to them all
When, suddenly and silently,
A vision did appear
And whispered in familiar voice
"Don't worry, I'm still here.
I've only left my body
You dogs still own my heart
And as long as there is Battersea
We'll never be apart"

Hi just an up date on grooming over the next few days.
We will do our best to keep the dogs cool while they are being groomed. The parlour usually stays cool until lunch time when the sun gets round. We will have to monitor this during the day. Hopefully we will be able to bath, clip and tidy your dogs but we will not be able to use the dryers so dogs will be towel dried and may still be damp.

If anyone would like to postpone their groom due to weather please let us know we will rebook for a later date

Following the government up date we will be fully open again from the 12th of April. We have a long list to work through but hope to catch up ASAP .
Before this date we can offer welfare grooms for animals that are in discomfort due to matting , bad skin, overgrown nails etc. We have to keep documented proof that this is the case, please call if you are worried or unsure.

To all our Customers

We hope everyone is keeping well and safe
Just a quick update on our position
🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾

We cannot start to book until we get a date to reopen. Our latest information is that government will be reviewing their policies on the 22nd February as to when and if lockdown restrictions might start easing.
Some of our customers have said that other groomers in the area are open. To clarify the situation, groomers can only open for welfare, this means we have to have a vets referral or documented proof that the dogs grooming needs are causing immediate distress and discomfort (routine grooming is not aloud )If this applies to any of our customers please give us a call to discuss the individual situation
We really hope to be back grooming as soon as possible and will contact you all as soon as we are able to open

These are the Guide lines published 4/01/2021
Again the Welfare Issue is very grey
Groomers are aloud to open for welfare not beauty
You can leave your home or travel for the welfare of your pet.
At the moment there is no guidelines on ‘ welfare ‘ so we will carry on as set out below
* if you have an appointment but feel your dog can wait 6 weeks please let us know and rebook
* if you have an appointment and your dog needs grooming to keep them from matting etc please come in and follow the guidelines we have in place. ( previous post )

We have room outside for you to drop off and pick up safely without the need for any indoor contact.
Payment should be in an envelope we will not be able to give change.
Please take all collars and leads with you.
If you are unwell or have been told to isolate please let us know as soon as possible and rebook
We will post updates of guidelines as we receive them

Happy New Year to all our customers 🐕🐩🐾

These are the guide lines on the government web site for dog groomers in Tier 4.

Dog groomers

An owner may take a pet to be groomed by appointment if the grooming is necessary for welfare reasons. The necessity for an appointment is to ensure social distancing between clients.

If dogs are brought to site owners should remain in their vehicles until staff are ready to accept their dog.
The business handover protocol set out by CFSG should be followed and should take place in an outdoor space large enough for the client and staff to maintain their social distance.

We will stay open unless guidelines change. If you feel that your dog can wait and would like to delay your appointment please let us know as soon as possible.
If you are unwell or have been told to self isolate please call us and we will change your appointment

We are lucky enough to have our outside area so please come in through the front gate and shut it behind you. You can leave your dog in the garden and we will take them through to the parlour, please take collars and leads with you. Pick up will be the same so there will be no need for indoor contact and the parlour reception will be kept locked
If paying by cash please have correct money in an envelope.

We hope to be able to continue working safely but if restrictions change we will have to rethink .
