Please note you will have to follow the diversion signs, so please allow extra time for your journey.

From Annan take the Kirkpatrick Fleming Road & go to the field from the B6357.

If you are traveling from Eastriggs you will have to go to Annan, then onto the Kirkpatrick Fleming road B6357 (a long way round for a short cut, sorry)

From Gretna/Rigg I would head to Kirkpatrick Fleming then head to Eastriggs /Annan (B6357)

Coming from Carlisle... I would come off at Gretna & travel to Kirkpatrick Fleming then follow the B6357

Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is undertaking essential resurfacing on the A75 at the Eastriggs Junction from Friday 31st January until Thursday 6th February 2025.

🛠️ The programme of maintenance is as follows ⤵️

⛔️ Full weekend closure at this location from 8pm on Friday 31st January until 6am on Monday 3rd February 2025.

⛔️ Overnight closures (8pm - 6am) at this location, each night, from Monday 3rd February until Wednesday 5th February 2025.

✅ All traffic management will be removed by 6am on Thursday 6th February 2025.

🗺️ Signed diversions will be in place:

➡️ Eastbound traffic will be diverted via the B6357 Stapleton Road south after Annan, then directed to turn left onto the B721, continuing through Eastriggs to rejoin the A75 west of Gretna.

⬅️ Westbound traffic will follow the route in reverse.

Hope everyone is safe after the severe weather.

New Year.... Same problem!! 💩💩💩
Please pick up after your dogs 💩
The weather hasn't been the best, but I know some kind users have picked up other people's dogs mess & I go every day & pick it up too 😩
I would hope that you pick up at home! So please pick up in our garden, which is here for everyone to enjoy.

Some dogs are very partial to a rogue 💩 and can smell it out at 100 yards. This can make them very poorly.
Poo on your shoes & taken into your vehicle 🤢

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE PICK IT UP! and the balls please. I retrieved 8 out of the Farmers field, he will have sheep in there shortly & they would probably eat them 😜 If one does inadvertently go over the fence, let me know & I will go on & pick it up.
Please return all balls & throwers into the wee hut.

With the snow and ice expected, the roads may well be gritted.

If you walk your Dog on gritted roads/paths please make sure that their paws are washed either by walking them through a few puddles away from the gritted surfaces or by dipping their feet in fresh water once at home.
Every year hundreds of pets throughout the country become seriously ill and in some cases die because of the rock salt and antifreeze being used during the cold snap‼️

Dogs and Cats walk through the substances left by gritters trying to clear roads and car drivers defrosting their windscreens and then licking them off their paws‼️

Consuming rock salt can cause dehydration, liver failure and pancreatitis, while antifreeze contains the chemical ethylene glycol, which can be lethal when ingested.

Santa's naughty list is being updated!!! Whoever the culprit is & this is a daily occurrence at the moment 😭

Please, please, please pick up after your own dogs 🤢 for other dogs Elf & Safety!!! I know one young lady (who asks to remain anonymous 🖤)
She happily forged on 💩 yesterday!! Threw it all up in her bed this morning at 03:00am, her owner is not as sprightly (or very happy cleaning beds at this unearthly hour) to catch her before she happily eats the delicacy so kindly left for her 🤮
Her owner picked up her own dogs poos yesterday & 5 other ones (not including the pinched feast, lurking in the grass. Our 💩 eater has perfected the hunt the treat game)

Santa has his Elves to help pick up after Rudolf, we don't have the luxury of extra help. This week is the worst one ever 😩
We are providing a lovely place for you to enjoy, please don't spoil the next person's enjoyment, PICK UP YOUR DOGS 💩 PLEASE!!

(For dogs younger than 7 months old on 31st January 2024 the deadline for neuter and form submitted is 30th June 2025.)

31st January 2025
If your dog is 18 months old or over this is the deadline for neutering, and having submitted the confirmation form.
If your dog is under 18 months old the form must be received by 31st January 2025 or within one month of the dog being 18 months old, whichever is the latter.

Northern Ireland 🇬🇧
31st December 2024 is the deadline for having an exemption certificate for all dogs falling under the XL Bully ban.

It’s easy to forget how soon these deadlines are, especially with the festive season in full swing.

If your dog needs a neutering confirmation form completed you’ll need your Vet to fill out part of the form and sign it.

Make sure you leave time to get anything needed done and sent off with the holiday season approaching.

Ask for confirmation of receipt when you email or post anything off, for your peace of mind.
