Few scans from yesterday too. I do love scanning. I’ve always had positive news for my clients. I know there will come a time when I have to break the news that they have not caught and I dread those days. But for now we are enjoying all the bouncing baby news x

Now this girl was something special. What a powerful yet majestic dog. Tibetan Mastiff. Don’t see many of these around up our way. She was in for cytology to check when she will be ready for breeding. Results said she’s approaching ovulation. Will re test today and see how she’s developing.

The beautiful husky that came for a check up yesterday. Delivered her babies last night. 8 was the last count before I fell asleep. Owner was concerned and wanted to check heartbeats and her progression. After a scan and an internal I was able to reassure her that they would be here within the next 12-24 hours. I’m here even for that reassurance at any stage of pregnancy. Congratulations to owner and well done mummy x

Been working with this boy for a few weeks. Getting his semen in tip top condition ready to freeze and preserve. Happy to say we did good. Several straws in the bank and a few more appointments lined up. When you have something so special it’s an unnecessary shame to let it all be left behind. Freeze. Store. Preserve for the future

Top day today. Few confirmation scans and one girl in to check all was ok. Ai and microchipping too. And clocked up 15k plus steps between jobs. Home now. Pjs on. Dinner in oven. Family time. Beautiful wee terrier pups born couple days ago. The owner was in a slight panic. Ok a huge panic as EDD came and went so I scanned to check all was well and could confirm strong heart beats and plenty of movement. She then went on to delivery naturally a couple days later and after a concern for one of the boys who needed a little help to get going they are all thriving and mum doing an excellent job.

Not just for worldwide studs but think about preserving your own lines. Do you have a boy that is nearing the age of retirement? Let’s talk freezing semen. It is not just for those big breeders with top stud dogs wanting to send semen to other countries. It can be and is for many, about preserving those important genes 🧬 from their Male dogs to use in the future with future girls they may have. This is the main use of cryobiology. I have had a couple of old boys in recently where the owners haven’t a girl right now to use them on but understand that time will not always be on their side. So now, when the time is right for them they can be happy in the knowledge that they have preserved semen from their boys and can create his offspring still. Whether next year. 10 years or whenever. I’m happy to talk to anyone who is considering doing this and talk you through the process.
