‼️ Red Weather Warning ‼️

Storm Eowyn has now been upgraded to a red warning, so please take time to consider what you can do today to protect your animals.

Some tips for tomorrow;

🐶 Ensure garden gates/fences etc have not blown open before letting dogs out to the garden.

🐱 Keep cats indoors where possible.

🐶🐱 Have a radio playing to keep wind noise down, close the curtains too.

🐰 Are small furries secure? If not, or you aren’t sure, bring them inside.

🐶 Avoid dog walking during the storm, play some inside games instead.

🐶🐱 Are your microchip details up to date if your pet was to run away?

🚗 Take extra care when driving. A frightened cat or dog will not have any road sense. Expect the unexpected!

Today, Saturday 18th Jan at 4pm , we'll be standing side by side with Max's supporters.

Don't be brainwashed by people that think they are more powerful than you! They are wrong and just can't admit it!

This case highlights one of many known failings by councils and their staff, and the animal's pay for inflated ego's with their lives.

🚨 EMERGENCY PROTEST 🚨

Join us tomorrow evening at the Lisburn Civic Centre/Lagan Valley Island at 4PM to demand the immediate release of Max the puppy.

This little pup has done nothing wrong, only look similar to a “banned breed.”

We cannot sit idly by whilst this innocent soul has been condemned to death under a draconian piece of legislation.

Join us in unison and use your voice!

We are sick of trolls trying to undermine the work we do. We've always been fair and let comments stay, even if they are 'against' us or what we are about, unless they became nasty.
However, from now on, we are going to block on the first instance, especially when you lie. We've no time for your games, it's hard enough, and this is the last time you'll get a response from us.

Wishing all our Strayers a very Happy New Year.
2024 brought us a lot of ups, downs and losses. We will continue into 2025 with a positive mindset and try to continue helping as many as possible.
Rescue works better together after all. 💜🐾

At the outreach Xmas party last night there was music, party bags and great craic for the guys. Gifts were given to all the dogs and cats that came along, but I think Oreo was more interested in killing his squeaky toys 😂. Poppy was a perfect little lady as always.

Gundog Rescue and rehoming. non profit organisation called with us last week to fill their van with as much food as they can carry. Delighted to assist this rescue for the first time.

It was great to get down to Hayley at Tyrone Husky Rescue to donate a couple of toys and hundreds of Lifestage trays.
Tara met us to bring tinned food back to the guys at Hullabaloo and others. Once again, rescue works best when it works together 💜🐾

Looks like Max might spend all of Xmas in a horrid concrete cell, all because Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council can't do the decent thing. Please sign and share to show the support this boy has. Shame them......it's a powerful motivator for change! 💜🐾

DOG RESCUES & PET FOOD BANKS!
We have just had a surprise delivery of an unbelievable amount of dog food. There is no way we can possibly deliver it all before the rain might ruin it.
Please message or call if you can assist us with collecting. We'll only be responding to people from the rescues etc., directly not supporters or others.
PS, it is ONLY dog food.

The guys from The Joke & Toy Shop, Newcastle, Co Down, invited us to leave a collection bucket with them. They are 100% dog friendly, in fact, they want ALL the dogs to come in 😂. The fact they had a dog water bowl out the front speaks volumes.
What a blast from the past it was when I walked inside. I remember buying pretend ci******es here when I was a kid and they currently have so many stocking fillers and lots of other fun items.

It was very busy, and cold, at outreach last night with a queue of people needing items for their cats and dogs.
We met a new doggo whose harness was being held together by sellotape and made sure he had new toys and treats along with his new harness and lead.
Carmen from Husky Harnesses for little Doggies had the perfect harness for a gorgeous Frenchie and a lot of items donated by Dog Friendly Ards & North Down area also found a new home. A special shout-out to the staff of Pizza on the Square that gave us a large pizza to give the guys at the food table, it went down really well. Thanks for the support Strayers, you change lives for the better! 💜🐾
