We didn’t get a picture of Saffron on adoption day as this little lady could be quite nervous at times.

Weighing in at 5 kg this little man is petite but just full of that JRT personality.

Rex was transferred to us from another rescue but we do know that his original owner had passed away.

Little Rex did have a period in foster with multiple other dogs so we confidently say he could live with another dog. (pending successful meet and greets).

Rex may be able to live with children aged 8 + years with a sensible approach to dogs.

*Apologies in advance for video quality, we were too busy having fun*

The tune you can hear in the background is called “nothing funner than the summer” and its such an apt tune for our big boy Red.

Lurcher cross Red has been with us just over a year, 29th August 2023 in fact. Now thats a sad statistic for an 18 month old happy go lucky goofball.

He does have his wee traits like not liking traffic for example but please don’t let that put you off, that can be easily managed by choosing his walking routes and times carefully. He loves nothing better than a good old playtime, running and chasing balls, toys, or anything else you care to throw for him.

He struggles in the confined space of kennels so we try to keep him outside in a sheltered spot as much as possible but winter is coming and that’s not going to be so easy.

So we’re hoping and keeping everything crossed that we can get him rehomed before too much longer.

He’s a very special boy who would make a wonderful companion so please check out his specific info by clicking on the link.

Little Kim was transferred to us from another organisation along with two of her pups.

Of course Kim was only a baby herself so puppies was a lot to take on, coupled with her surrender to rescue.

We believe Kim had never been on a lead before and while Kim was nursing her puppies, we did not want to push her on this or add any stress.
Kims puppies are now adopted and efforts are now being made to help Kim get comfortable on a lead.
Our activity area has been a god send with dogs like Kim, we can provide exercise and enrichment here without the need to go out onto the busy Greystone Road at the front of our sanctuary. (Avoiding a bad intro to lead walking)

Progress is being made but this is slow and we feel at this stage a suitable adopter would be the right move for Kim.
Kim will be included as part of our Aprils Wish program whereby we pay for a top behaviourist to visit you in your home to assist with behaviour change. (In this case lead walking and building confidence).

Another dog (confident), will be beneficial for some social learning for Kim.

Breed experience/knowledge will hugely benefit your application.

A home without young children will be most suitable for Kim. We will consider homes with children aged 13 + years.

Miss Chai finds herself in rescue after being dumped at our gate this week. She has given birth to kittens recently but has now been spayed.

Due to being cast aside, we don't know any of Chais previous history but she is settling in well to life here. She seems to be quite social with the team, handling well and using a litter tray.

Chai could live with other Cats and children of any age who can show a sensible approach.

Little Jinx came to us as a stray recently. And after a short stay in a Foster home with one of our staff we now feel she is ready to find her forever home. Jinx took a little bit of time to come around so we feel she would benefit from a home with children 8yrs+ with a sensible approach to cats. Jinx could also live with other cats.

Lola and Daisy were recently surrendered to the sanctuary due to owners having no time for the dogs.

Daisy is quite reliant on Lola so we have made the decision to try to keep them together.

They are little sweethearts when the feel safe but obviously coming into a sanctuary environment has caused some stress and worry for them.

Daisy and Lola could live with other dogs pending successful meet and greets.
