If the dogs require jumpers/jackets to be worn then just leave them out and I'll pop them on to keep cosy 🐾

First day back and loved every minute of it despite the slippery conditions 😅🐾
A 2 week break was just what I needed! Didn't realise how burnt out I was! I felt so happy and refreshed and I've not felt like that in a good while ❤️

Cold Weather Policy for Paws Unleashed Pet Services

As a dog walking business based in Arbroath, I understand the challenges that cold weather can bring. My priority is the safety and wellbeing of the dogs in my care. This cold weather policy outlines how I adapt my services during extreme conditions to ensure everyone stays safe and comfortable.

Monitoring Weather Conditions

I keep a close eye on local forecasts, particularly during the winter months. If temperatures drop significantly, or if severe conditions such as heavy snow, ice, or strong winds are forecast, I may adapt our walks accordingly.

Adjustments to Walks

Shortened Walks: If temperatures are extremely low, I may reduce walk times to prevent dogs from becoming too cold.

Paw and Coat Protection: If owners provide protective clothing, such as coats or jumpers, I’ll ensure these are used.

Cancellation Policy

In extreme weather where travel becomes dangerous or conditions are unsuitable for walking, I may need to cancel walks. In such cases, I will contact you as soon as possible to discuss alternatives or reschedule.

Owner Responsibilities

To help me keep your dog comfortable:

Ensure your dog has a suitable coat for walking in cold weather.

Let me know if your dog is particularly sensitive to the cold, so I can make appropriate adjustments.

Communication

I’ll always aim to provide updates promptly, whether via text, WhatsApp or messenger. If you have any concerns about your dog’s walks during cold weather, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

🌨️ Cold Weather Policy Now in Place 🌨️

As the temperatures drop here in sunny Arbroath, I’ve introduced a Cold Weather Policy to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the dogs in my care. ❄️

This policy is effective immediately and outlines how I adapt my services during extreme weather conditions:

Walks may be shortened in very low temperatures to prevent discomfort.

If conditions become unsafe (e.g., heavy snow or ice), walks may be rescheduled or cancelled, and I’ll notify you all as soon as possible.

If your dog needs specific items, such as a warm coat or paw balm, please let me know, and I’ll ensure they’re used during our walks. I'll have Bugalugs wipes and Henry & Co Organic Dog Balm to clean and keep those paws and noses moisturised after our walks 🐶

Your dog’s comfort and safety are my top priority , and will keep you updated if any changes are needed. If you have any questions about the policy or how it applies to your dog, feel free to get in touch.

Happy New Year to all my wonderful dogs and their lovely humans! 🎉
I’m so excited for the year ahead and all the adventures we’ll share. This year is all about giving your dogs the best walks, exploring new places, and making every outing special.

I’ve been busy planning, and I’m thrilled to announce that our popular Doggy Adventure Days will be making a comeback!
Plus, we visited the fantastic new secure dog park Arbirlot Dog Park with Hugo and Biff today—it’s a brilliant spot for a safe runaround, and I’ll be adding it to our regular adventures every so often.

Here’s to an amazing 2025 filled with wagging tails and happy walks.

I don't usually do gifts but this year I began working on a project to show how much I appreciate you all. However, the winter bugs visited us so the project is on hold for now 😔 but thank you so much for my Xmas gifts 🥰
Could i kindly request that any fees due are paid as soon as so I can pop my admin aside for now and enjoy some fam time, thank you ❤️🐾

Morning, so so sorry but I'm having to cancel today's walks.
Cammy still unwell and fighting hard to keep his ketones down as hes struggling to eat 😥
Stewart is now down with this bug and in no fit state to look after cammy 😔
I will reschedule today's walks where I can and work Monday 23rd if I can't fit everyone in rest of this week ❤️🐾

I just wanted to let you all know about my Christmas holiday dates: I’ll be finishing on Friday 20th December and returning on Monday 6th January.

Bonfire Night is tonight, and while fireworks can be fun for us, they can be a bit scary for our dogs! Here are a few tips to help keep them calm and safe:

1. Plan Walks Early: A nice walk before dark can help them relax and avoid the evening booms.

2. Create a Cozy Spot: Setting up a quiet, comforting space at home can help them feel more secure if the fireworks start.

3. Keep Calm: Our dogs can pick up on our moods, so staying relaxed helps them feel reassured.

4. Play Background Noise: Try some gentle music or a bit of telly to help mask the noise outside.
