After a much needed break post Christmas rush I’ll be back open from Monday the 8th of January.
I’m responding to phone calls and messages currently so if you want to get booked in just give me a buzz.

1 more traditional show style and the other in a pet groom.
Both gorgeous boys that gave the best cuddles after their grooms.

Of course on may the 4th (Star Wars day) I had a baby ewok in for a visit.
This little one has had his final vaccinations and he was in for his first visit. The younger we can start the grooming journey the better ❤️

Would you believe me if I said that this is the same dog in all of these photos.
Mr Barney has never had his body clipped but instead went through the coat change process from puppy to adult coat and the difference is definitely dramatic!
His first visit was just after he finished his vaccines and he’s been coming on a regular basis to maintain this lovely healthy coat.

2 beautiful Doberman boys. They are possibly one of the sweetest breeds that I get in and always a joy to have.

It’s all been a bit crazy here but I couldn’t resist sharing all these gorgeous dogs with you. A lot of variety in dogs and trims but I love seeing all their wee faces ❤️

Hi everyone, as some of you know I compete with my resident shop dog Briar in competitive obedience and this year we were lucky enough to earn a place on the Northern Ireland team going to Crufts in March.
The team is holding a raffle with some fantastic prizes up for grabs so I’ll be selling tickets in the salon and the numbers will be pulled on the 25th of February.
The prizes include:

1st- voucher for hydro ease flotation centre
2nd- large doggy hamper
3rd- large bag of CSJ dog food
4th- small doggy hamper
5th- bottle of gin
Plus a few other small prizes.

It’s £1 for 1 strip of tickets or £5 for 6 so if you’re interested just let me know when you’re dropping off/picking up your dogs or send me a message to the page

It’s getting to that time of year again and even the short haired dogs are dropping their coats! Remember even short coated dogs can benefit from a trim to the groomers to help with coat and skin health and save you the extra hoovering

Sometimes the nervous dogs just need a little bit more loving ❤️
Miss Trixies owner got in contact and explained she can be a bit of a nervous girl but with a bit of time and patience she was giving all the cuddles on the table and was a super girl for her groom.
I’m always happy to work with dogs and owners to make grooming a positive experience ❤️

It really was spaniel week here at Killylyn dog grooming. Visits from cavalier, cockers, springers and a few spaniel mixes as well.

Sometimes the little puppies need a little extra time and patience.
I love being able to take a bit more time with my puppy grooms to set these dogs up for a lifetime of positive experiences with grooming ❤️
You can book your puppies in as soon as they have finished their course of puppy vaccinations and your vets have given you the go ahead for walks outside (usually about 2 weeks after their last injection)
The sooner the better especially for breeds which require regular grooming every 6-8 weeks

Isn’t he the cutest!! This little guy is 14 weeks and in for his first ever visit.
It’s best to get puppies in as early as possible once they’ve had all their vaccinations so they can get used to the grooming experience and so I can get those all important puppy cuddles ❤️

Short haired dogs still shed! This gorgeous boxer boy was ready to blow his coat and with a little help he’s nearly ready for spring. He is a regular and he loves all the fuss he gets when he visits and just look at all that hair that now won’t end up on his owners carpets!
