My wing man has turned 14. He’s now matching his sister in age. Of course we had to have a celebration with both of them. Deaf and blind dogs still love cake 😉
Ok complete ❤️
Happy I cannot believe instagram updated to allow 20 photos in a carousel and I still can’t fit in all my gorgeous clients 🙈
Please do not buy these ☹️
*** Update this is apparently just Northern Ireland shops ***
Apparently, these are currently 'in the middle' at Lidl.
Don't buy them. They are no use for hedgehogs at all and in fact if a hog used one it is more likely to trap it than provide any shelter at all. Not my pic. Garforth Hedgehogs Rescue
A reminder that we are closed 29th aug - 8th sept ☺️
We are sending lots of love and healing to two of our buddies Hendrix and Alfie. We hope both boys get lots of rest and come back in full strength soon ❤️
Gotta get those rays before our one week of summer leaves us
Did someone say treat?
*update* the horse is now safe ☺️
Shaws lake, brantry lake and blackwater river/bann river all local to us. All tested and confirmed blue green algae. Please keep your dogs out of the rivers. We had enough deaths last year we don’t need any more ☹️
Blue green Algae locations in NI are rising exponentially
Please Take care anytime you let your dogs have access to water , especially , but not exclusively fresh water
Sadly you can trace the path of the Bann quite clearly on the map
An indication that Lough Neagh is a huge part of the problem

Again here on our door step. And not only that, they also have decent exposure in the community. Plenty of money coming in from their boutique shop so no excuse for puppy farming. And no excuse to leave these animals like this to die. Anyone who supports Shannon Bennett official boutique and likes animals I suggest you stop.
CONVICTED | puppy trafficker Shannon Bennett, 27, formerly of Meadowvale, Newtownhamilton, County Armagh - for cruelty to 10 puppies found stuffed into a tiny cage, with five of them later dying from parvovirus.
Bennett was convicted of two counts of causing unnecessary suffering to two German shepherds and two shih tzus, three counts of failing to ensure the needs of the German shepherds, the shih tzus and six Labradors were met, and one of permitting the Labradors to suffer unnecessarily.
Bennett was prosecuted by Mid and East Antrim Borough Council following an investigation.
Council animal welfare officers were called to Larne port in April 2023 after concerns had been raised regarding the condition of puppies found within a van.
Officers found the puppies within a crate that was deemed too small for them.
The van used for transporting the puppies contained no food and had limited water.
An independent vet assessed the puppies and found two dogs had “haemorrhagic diarrhoea”.
All the puppies were found to be underweight and were seized.
Shortly after seizure, five of the puppies contracted parvovirus and died.
The remaining five puppies made a full recovery and were successfully rehomed.
During questioning, Bennett gave contradicting stories on the puppies' origins and the length of time they had been left in the van or in her care.
Sentencing | 200 hours of community service; £160 costs. 10-year disqualification order on owning or transporting animals.

Does anybody know who owns the cows that are in the backfield at Milford football pitch? One of them is loose on the pitch
Badger says thanks for everyone checking up on him. He’s feeling ok just very sleepy and some stinky toots 💨. Unfortunately badger ingested some sort of fuel this morning from drinking a puddle at Milford pitch and needed to have activated charcoal treatment. Thankfully I have a golden rule during walks that no dog is ever too far away from me that I can’t get to them in an emergency and he only ingested a small amount. We were at the Vets within minutes and he is doing well. Thankfully all of the other dogs in the group are fine and after a nice bath are home and safe. Thank you again to OReilly & Fee for taking us in as an emergency.

Here’s something to make you smile on world mental health day. Safe to say we’ve found our girls favourite pass time 😂 sorry Phil Toner. The Wee Groomer you’ve got your work cut out for you now
This isn’t to people bash. I know who owns this dog and I have spoken with them in person on numerous occasions about incidents exactly like this but nothing changes. This isn’t about bashing one person, so hate comments will be deleted but I need to share this as an example. No I did not handle this situation as I normally would because my priority was to video then get the dogs safe. I am done letting people get away with this and from now on I will be taking a video each time this happens. Genuine mistakes like a dog slipping it’s lead etc I understand and most people in that instance are running over to control the dog. But this is so unfair. As you can see the dog is running free and trying to play with the dogs I have with me. The owner is half way across the field with no awareness of where the dog is. I had these two under control and walking in the opposite direction. I had started calling out to call the dog back as soon as I seen it running toward us. The owner had plenty of time to prevent this. This was going on for a good minute before I started videoing but I was still shouting call your dog back. And I know they could hear me as the other two walkers parallel to them were turning back to see what was going on. However they chose to ignore my calls and the dogs barking and walk on with their back to me. As I said I will now be taking video evidence each time I have an interaction like this with anyone in case the situation escalates. I need to protect my clients dogs first and foremost. If they were to get scared and bite an oncoming, off lead dog they would be seen as in the wrong. With a video I can show it was not. Please I appeal again have your dog under control on your walks.

Dog behavior modification in 1981 was quite simple. Setup the dog to fail, wait for the unwanted behavior, and then punish it over and over again until the dog is so overwhelmed is shuts down. The dog eventually learns the growling, barking, snapping, and biting doesn't work, and from pure exhaustion it accepts petting, but not because of affection, but rather, it's appeasement. This is flooding and punishment and the outcome is learned helplessness. On TV in 1982 and on National Geographic in the 2000s and now all over social media as so called “dog whisperer’s” in 2023.
Nancy had 3 of her parathyroid glands removed. Thankfully they managed to save one and save her thyroid. We still have a long recovery ahead of us and will be back and forth to the Northern Ireland specialist vets numerous times each week but she’s healing. A huge thank you to the team at Northern Ireland Veterinary Specialists who are amazing. But especially Alison who has listened to my worries since January and explaining everything to me in a way I can understand. And Aidan who took time out of his busy surgery schedule to sit and explain the procedure to me, call me when it was done and help save our precious girl.
Even though our girl is 13 and currently waiting to get a parathyroid tumour removed she still embrace's her devil side 😈#dogtok #rescuedog #staffy #olddog
Buster has been off for 13 weeks recovering from a pretty major surgery to correct a growth deformity in his front leg. His family have been fantastic with his rehab and he finally got the all clear to come out and play. For now he will be doing half the walk and then hitching a ride in my makeshift carrier of an old scarf. 😍
