Big News for our canine patients!

Cats for Rehoming😻
Through no fault of her own, we have our little tabby female back with us and needing a home. We think she might be best suited for a home with no other cats, and a mix of indoor/outdoor life🏡 She is neutered already, so no need to worry about kittens!

We also have a very friendly black and white male handed in last week. If anyone recognises him please, give us a shout or if you're up for new company, he's a lovely boy but maybe best for outdoors🥰

*PLEASE SHARE*
2 dogs found straying in traffic earlier this afternoon on the Portadown Road, Armagh near Mellifont Park. Both are safe with us and in good health. One black Labrador type and one small Jack Russell Type with unusual blue eyes. If you know who owns them please let us know.

Brave little Molly(14!) has been in with us getting treated this last few weeks after developing a sudden severe lameness. We x-rayed her knee and diagnosed a severe bone infection and started treatment with an intensive course of strong antibiotics.

Unfortunately the infection was too severe and was "eating away" at the bones of her leg. A full leg amputation was all we could recommend to help her.

She has had the surgery today and is pictured here in her recovery kennel and standing well after the operation. She is strong and well otherwise and with the painful leg amputated she should make a full recovery quickly!

UPDATE - this girl who was found wandering at O’Kanes yesterday was quickly reunited with her worried owners. Thankfully she was microchipped and after contacting the microchip database William was able to contact her owners. The lesson is Microchip your pet!

Today we said goodbye to Emily who is off tomorrow to Nottingham University to study Veterinary Medicine and Surgery. We have been delighted to have Emily do work experience with us and also work for us. We know she will make a fantastic vet and have a great time along the way at Nottingham! We sent her off with new wellies and a personalised stethoscope as a thank you! It won’t be long until we see her back for EMS.
