I nearly got caught out by this scam.

If you are trading at Crufts 2025 you will be targeted also. By signing up to the "corrections" (they will make a deliberate mistake that you need to correct) you'll be signing a legally binding agreement to pay 1212 Euros for the next three years.

This is the new design of the Ergonomic Belly Band by Centre Stage Dogs. It's cut away so that it doesn't pinch "delicate" anatomy whilst still being really wide and supportive under the tummy.

SHOULD I HAVE MY DOG GROOMED IN WINTER?

A common misconception is that we should leave our dog’s coat longer in winter as they will feel the cold, when in actual fact, the opposite is often the case.

When a dog’s coat is left long, unless you groom it meticulously on a daily basis and dry it after walks, it will retain the cold and damp and actually make your dog colder.

A coat which is left long in the winter is likely to become matted as it will constantly be getting wet and a damp coat is difficult to maintain, unless you wash and dry the coat after every walk which is very high maintenance.

Keeping your dog’s coat shortish and manageable in the winter will be much easier to keep clean and dry and will be much more comfortable for your dog, allowing air to circulate through the coat and avoiding a long, matted, damp coat sitting against your dog’s skin.

Most dogs live in our homes with us which are centrally heated and warm. If it is extremely cold, you can put a coat on your dog on walks and remove it at home when they are in the warm.

One of Tim’s new toys!

Tim The Vet came over this evening to play with his new toys - He’s got this really nifty ultrasound device that connects to his phone, so he can do diagnostics previously requiring an office visit in the comfort of your own home.

He also did my cat’s weight and blood pressure (I didn’t get pics of that, sorry).

This is my dog Michael, having an ultrasound of his tummy.

Tim’s number is 07794 050560. If you or your clients would prefer a vet to visit their home please give him a call. He's been my vet for 35 years and I trust him implicitly.

Hi friends! I'm looking for some help so please bear with...

My daughter is going to Keele University in September. She needs to take her car so that she can work while she's at uni (this will be necessary to pay some of her bills). She's applied to several jobs all of which require that she drives. However, the car park permits you get from the uni to park on site are rarer than unicorn p**p and she doesn't meet their qualification criteria.

I'm asking if any of you live near the uni, or have friends or relatives that live near the uni that might be able to rent space on their driveway for a Smart ForFour (very small) car.

Massive THANK YOU to Kev Green from My Best Friend grooming salon in Bere Alston, Devon, who allowed me to pop over to bath and blast my little poodle in his gorgeous salon yesterday.

If you're from this area or just visiting, I can highly recommend his services. The salon was spotless, the company was great and the parking was really easy.

Yesterday I was driving home to Ascot from Bracknell along the London Road.

It was 4pm and my car's thermometer was reading 28˚C

I pulled up at the lights outside the Mercades garage in the left hand lane (I was going straight ahead). Several cars pulled up alongside me either going straight on or turning right.

A chap in a pale blue teeshirt went jogging past and turned right towards Tescos.

Now, if you want to go out and jog in that heat, on your head be it.

BUT DON'T TAKE YOUR DOG WITH YOU. The black spaniel (or Sp x) was struggling.

So if you know this chap, perhaps you'd be kind enough to share this pic with him. Hopefully his dog survived that ordeal. It really shouldn't even have been out walking in that heat, never mind running.

If I'd been in the other lane I'd have turned right and had a word.

Katie has 30 years experience in the professional dog world, moving from training dogs for film and TV 15 years ago into the world of dog grooming. She holds the International Certified Master Groomer certificate and was nominated for Speaker Of The Year in 2018 for her inspirational seminars for fellow groomers.
