Louise has volunteered at the Ark since 2013 and recently acquired the Dog First Aid Derbyshire business. Louise now delivers training workshops teaching dog first aid for dog owners and canine professionals.

Just like us, dogs have accidents......would you know what to do if your dog choked on a stick/ball or cut their paw? ❤️‍
Join Louise for a fun and interactive half day in-person or online workshop. Designed with input from vets to give dog owners and professionals the confidence and skills to act in an emergency and ensure your dog has the best chance of recovery.

🎗 Collar Injuries
Do you leave your dog's collar on when they are left alone?
Collars becoming entangled can result in fatal injuries.
Please always remove your dog's collar if you crate them whilst they are home alone.
If they were to try to escape, they could get their collar caught on the crate, resulting in the dog being strangled.
Also, if you are a multi dog household, with playful dogs. Teeth can become caught in collars, again with the possibility of injury to either, or both dogs.
Warm air heating systems have open grate style vents. Tags on collars can become caught in these.
Remember, prevention of any injury is always the best course of action.

After the success of the last paw print pottery event, with Popolo Ceramico Spilsby I am looking at holding one for Mothers Day around the beginning of March, to have the items ready for Mothering Sunday.
As before, this depends on the number of items pre-ordered whether it is viable.
If you would like to order any items, please let me know ASAP so I can make sure the stock is brought on the day.
Please note that your dog does not need to be booked in for Happy Hounds, you can just call in as before to get your dogs paw print painted & put into your chosen items.
