I predict it’s going to be a long firework season this year, with many organised Bonfire Night displays this evening and over the weekend. Plus there will be Diwali celebrations too.
Then there will be the traditionalists who will be celebrating on 5th November, so it will continue into next week.

Please do everything you can to keep your dogs calm and safe.

The Kennel Club have released statistics showing there is an 81% increase in dogs going missing over the firework season.
Check your dogs microchip details are up to date and as a precaution, if your dog doesn’t normally wear a collar in the house, consider putting one on, with an ID tag, over the next week.

It was time to redo my Dog First Aid training so I spent my Sunday morning with the lovely Dani and Annabel from Dog First Aid - Derby and East Staffordshire

I hope I never have to put my training into practice in the salon but I will be prepared if I ever do.

I highly recommend this course to any dog owner. Would you know what to do if your dog needed first aid at home or whilst out walking? You could even be the hero that saves someone else’s dog.

They run regular training at local locations throughout the year.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the human and dog mums out there. You are all doing a great job 👏

I’m not seeing my mum today as she’s away on holiday, so I have no guilt about being at Crufts 😁🐕🐩

My shopping bag is already full of new products to try - not all shampoos and scissors are made equally! I’m always striving to find the best quality equipment and products to use on all your gorgeous doggies, but also from companies that have a good ethical and sustainability policy.

Merry Christmas to all my clients - human and dogs!

I am taking a break and will return to grooming w/c 8th January.

There are no words to express how thankful and grateful I am to everyone who has trusted me with their precious dog.

This has been an amazing year for my little business and I’ve had the opportunity to meet lots of lovely new people and lovely new dogs.

The dogs feed my soul and the challenge of dealing with so many different breeds and temperaments, whilst always striving to improve my grooming skills, has been such a personal growth journey.

I hope to see you all next year and remember keep your dogs safe around all the tasty Christmas food.
