After one of the scariest near misses we have ever encountered on the roads this morning, we want to say a huge thank you to the drivers who passed afterwards who rebuilt some very knocked confidence.
I wish we could remember all the signed vehicles from today but Longcliffe Quarries LTD, RapidRacking, Severn Trent, Toolbank and S F Dale Transport, (just to name a few) well done and thank you to your drivers.
And well done to Summer & Merlin too 🐎

A quick post to say a huge thanks to our lovely customers that have booked in over the Summer (and throughout the rest of the year!).
With being a small business, and having limitations to the number of spaces we can offer, please can you ensure that if for any reason you need to amend your dates, cancel a stay or even if pick-up or drop-off may be changing from original plans, that you contact us at the earliest time that you can.
We’re aware and appreciate things can change but we have had multiple cancellations or amends very last minute which have resulted in having to turn other customers away, and resulting in a loss for ourselves.

Now to go enjoy some sunshine! Happy Friday all! ☀️🐶

Put telephone numbers on your dogs collars.
Our situation today, lovely lady caught a dog on the Carsington water road. Rang the police, its not a police matter but they started ringing local farms to get the situation resolved ASAP. We have a chip scanner so I offered to bring the dog here, check for chip and hopefully resolve things. Police lady gave me an incident number. Dog was chipped. In the past I have relied on vets to contact chip company for owner details,owner then contacts me.....collects dog....job done.
Now for whatever reason today this was not the case. The advice was to ring the dog warden, which is legal requirement anyway. I was 3 digits into the dog wardens number when we tracked the owner down.
Dog and owner reunited, BUT don't rely on your dogs microchip getting it home to you.
Let's do a simple thing, for a simple outcome 😉 get some contact numbers on your dog.

If your lawn looks like this every summer, then consider switching to a creeping thyme lawn. A creeping thyme lawn is drought tolerant, it chokes out competing plants (weeds) that would otherwise look unsightly, it can handle foot traffic, most varieties stay under 4" so it doesn't need mowing every weekend, it flowers profusely so is a boon for bees and other pollinators and it smells so much nicer than grass. People love to wax on poetically about the smell of freshly cut grass. But I’ll bet they’ve never walked across a sunbaked lawn of creeping thyme. He was as amazing, awesome and occasionally pain in the arse - Big Dog.
He fell on a charmed path, with the help of some amazing people Elaine Young, Maria Tosa , the lovely transport people, had some great adventures with visiting dogs and resident animals.....although 1 wasn't so great 🫣🐓. DPD driver wasn't his favourite person.....infact he didn't have many fave people unless you were family.....then you were blessed.
