Introducing our brand new Outdoor Pool Doggy Splash Sessions here at Ashby Leisure Centre & Lido!🐾

On the back of successfully ran doggy splash sessions held at Hemel Leisure Centre's Lido each year, we have decided to trial out new outdoor pool sessions this September. That welcomes all pooches to enjoy doggy splash in our outdoor pool!🐶

Dates:
🛑Saturday 21st September 2024
🛑Sunday 22nd September 2024
🛑Saturday 28th September 2024
🛑Sunday 29th September 2024

1 hour session slots each day:
🔵10:00-11:00
🔵11:30-12:30
🔵13:00-14:00
🔵14:30-15:30

One dog and one owner can attend for £15, with additional humans costing £9 each.🐶🏊‍♀️

Customers will need to book in advance and can do so via the Everyone Active app or website, or by calling the centre on 01530 412181📱

All participants must fill out a participation waiver when they arrive for the session. A waiver will be provided before the session starts. See comments section below for FAQs regarding the session ⬇️

After the final session on Sunday 29th September 2024, the poolside area will be thoroughly disinfected and the pool will be filtered and cleaned as normal, following strict health and safety guidelines. The outdoor pool will then be closed for the season.

🟡🟡🟡 Awareness Post! 🟡🟡🟡 🐶 Anxious dogs wear yellow 🐶 You might have noticed some dogs wearing yellow on their collars, leads, or bandanas—this is a friendly way of letting others know that the dog might be feeling anxious or nervous and needs a little extra space. It’s just a gentle reminder to approach slowly or give them some distance, helping them feel more comfortable in their surroundings. 🥺 If you have a nervous dog, there are lots of ways you can support them, and one of the best ways is through something called enrichment. What is Enrichment? 🧠 Enrichment simply means giving your dog fun activities that keep their minds busy and their senses engaged, like puzzle toys, sniffing games, or interactive play. These activities help calm their nervous energy and give them something positive to focus on, which can make a big difference in how they feel. 🤗 It also helps build a stronger bond between you and your dog. When you play and explore new activities together, your dog starts to feel more secure and trusting, knowing they have your support. Over time, these little moments can even boost their confidence, making them feel more comfortable in their environment. 🟡 By adding enrichment into your dog’s daily routine, you can help them feel more relaxed and at ease.
