Hollie, owner of Kent Animal Training, has been training animals for over 15 years. Having studied with the IMDT (Institute of Modern Dog Trainers) and ABTC (Animal Behaviour Training Council), she spends most of her time sharing her knowledge to help train dogs of all breeds, ages and temperaments. Hollie's approach is always welcoming and she is someone who is always ready to help. Seeking guida

Although Hollie spends most of her time helping owners train their dogs, she has experience training horses, cats and parrots. Hollie also has experience training a number of different species (including wolves, chimpanzees, bears, otters, tigers and more) and is a Zoo Animal Training Officer responsible for overseeing the creation, development and implementation of training and behaviour modification programmes.

Hollie is based in the Kent area, is able to travel for appointments and is flexible with bookings to suit your needs.

Reactivity group class!

Barley, Ava, Bobby, Benji, Otis and Reggie all struggle in some way with their big feelings around other dogs. Whether it be frustration, fear, overwhelm or hormones this can be really tricky on walks for their owners.

Last week kicked off our group class, tailored to help these guys focus and engage on their owners when other dogs are present and close. Each week we will build up more and more to being around other dogs, but also working and being able to think around other dogs.

🐾 Meet Our New Junior’s Class Pups! 🐾

We’re so excited to welcome a brand-new group of dogs and their owners to our Junior’s Training Class at Invicta Dogs! From cheeky adolescents to lovely rescues finding their paws, these dogs are all here to learn, grow, and have fun. 💛

The Junior’s Class is designed for dogs 6 months and older and is one of our most versatile classes because it:
✅ Builds focus and confidence in everyday life
✅ Strengthens the bond between dog and owner
✅ Teaches obedience skills and good manners
✅ Provides a positive outlet for busy adolescent dogs and rescues

🐾 Therapy dog hopeful- Bobbie!

Bobbie recently saw me to undergo the Temperament Assessment, with the hopes of becoming a therapy dog in the future.

I was gobsmacked! Bobbie is a rehomed 2 year old Cavapoo, and not to breed shame, but this breed at this age is normally a live wire! Bobbie was so chilled, attentive and focused throughout, which is a testament to how hard his owners have worked.

The Temperament Assessment is the first stage at getting your dog certified as a therapy dog. It's a way to see if they're suitable, and to highlight areas that may need work with regards to their training.

Therapy dogs are slowly increasing in our schools, doctors surgeries, therapy offices and nursing homes. It is currently still an underrated service they provide, but it is magic. They do a fantastic job, helping people to build confidence, face trauma and generally reducing stress and anxiety.

I can't wait to see Bobbie today for his final assessment.

We love all the JR products (as you can see) and find they can really hit the spot with our dogs when trying to find rewards that they're really motivated for.
My dogs particularly love the Pork sausages but to be honest, they'll wolf any of these down!
