This Beautiful girl is desperate to get out of kennels, she’s 2 years old and very friendly. She would need to be an only dog as she can be reactive. She loves to be outside in our paddock and she’s a favourite with all our staff.

Did you know that you can foster or adopt a greyhound from East Dean Kennels?
This is Will, he’s off to his new home in London tomorrow so is having a bath before he leaves. He’s the most chilled out fabulous dog who will be going into work every day with his new mum as he’s happy to just sleep under her desk in her office. Although greyhounds need walking regularly, a lot of them also like to sleep and are super lazy.

This is Scooter. He’s deaf but don’t let this put you off. Scooter is a saluki and has travelled in the past with his previous owner before arriving with us. Scooter is really well behaved. He gets on with all the other dogs, is very lazy for a saluki. I’m fact he doesn’t bother waking up until about 9 am according to the kennel staff. He’s really clean in his kennel and the kennel staff all love him, in fact if any of them had space at home they would all take him home because he is so gentle and sweet.
Deaf dogs can learn sign language so he will learn what is expected of him, he’s a really lovely boy.

Our lovely Archie has found a foster home. Thanks everyone for sharing.

We now have a gorgeous 9 year old Doberman looking for a lovely home. His owner has died suddenly and he’s not happy in kennels. If anyone could foster this boy while we find the perfect match for him we would be so grateful

Dog friendly cabin here at the kennels for overnight stays, weekends or longer. A whole acre of paddock with dog proof fencing and a hot tub. It’s party time this weekend 🎉

❤ Special Foster home required: please share ❤

We have a blind greyhound girl called Sophie joining KGR in a couple of weeks. Her current owners report that she copes very well in her kennels, and we expect that she will adapt well to home life too.

You must be around a lot of the time and a sensible greyhound friend might make it easier for her to settle into home life. At KGR we have little experience with blind dogs, but we imagine that she should start to get accustomed to one room before letting her world get bigger. Bonding with her human and learning a range of useful commands will be very important.

It would be amazing if we could find a foster home with some experience, but failing that you will need to be keen to learn about helping a blind dog become accustomed you her new life.

We can accept applications from Kent Surrey Sussex London and Essex for right foster home. Please complete the application form on the website at www.kentgreyhoundrescue.com. Please don't apply if you are not in the right area we cannot process applications.

No cats and no kids please.
