Molly 🖤

Today we started this lovely girl! Molly is a 3 year old Labrador who has been experiencing some intermittent lameness on her left forelimb.

Molly was quite nervous of us to begin with, but by the end of the session we were Molly’s best pals and she was super proud of herself for absolutely smashing the underwater treadmill… as are we! 🌟

We can’t wait to help you along with your hydrotherapy Molly! Well done! 🥰

Drying coats aren’t just a cute accessory - they are an essential part of keeping your dog comfortable, especially during the colder months.
These coats are designed to take away excess water from your dog’s fur, all whilst keeping them warm, which is vital for maintaining their body temperature post swim or treadmill session!
Keeping warm also keeps their muscles relaxed and promotes recovery, making it an important part of their treatment plan! 💪🏻

If your dog is a regular to hydrotherapy, a drying coat is a simple but affective way to ensure they stay comfortable and safe all year round. 😄

Ruby gets very excited over her fitness swims… 🤣

Cleo 💛 Today was Cleo’s 10th session with us. This girl had a Tibial Plateau Levelling Osteotomy (TPLO) on her left stifle joint after rupturing her cruciate ligament, which is located in the knee. As you can see, Cleo started off very tentative of her life stifle and had wide tracking of her hind limbs. Although we still have work to do, Cleo has made great improvements, gained 1cm of muscle on her hind limbs and is feeling much more comfortable these days. 🥰 Well done little girl. Dasher! 🏃‍♂️ We have recently been treating this gorgeous boy. This is Dasher, an 8 month old border collie who has had bilateral shoulder OCD. Dasher is a bit of a nervous boy, so we’ve been working closely with his owners to ensure he enjoys his hydrotherapy. As you can see, Dasher is now swimming super well and is growing in confidence! Go Dasher! 🌟

Gorgeous Ruby comes to hydrotherapy to help with her bilateral hip dysplasia and cruciate ligament disease. This girly is smashing her sessions and is now looking and feeling much more comfortable in the treadmill and at home. Well done Ruby! 🤎

How can hydrotherapy benefit your dog? Mika is a resident dog here at Ace Canine and belongs to hydrotherapist Rebecca. 🥰 Mika has had bilateral TPLO surgery on her stifle joints when she was just 3 years old. Due to this, Mika now has osteoarthritis in both stifle (knee) joints. Mika is on monthly pain management medication and weekly hydrotherapy and alternates between the pool and the underwater treadmill. Would you believe Mika is now 11 & 1/2 years old now? 🥰 With thanks to weekly hydrotherapy and pain management medication, Mika is able to live her best life without the aches and pains that arthritis brings.
