Black cat appreciation
In anticipation of the 27th October giving us a chance to celebrate "National Black Cat Day" we thought we would highlight a few of our very own beauties that are looking for their forever homes. 🐈⬛
Black cats are affectionate, playful and every inch as rewarding as their colourful friends.
It might not be much of a surprise that black is the most common coat colour in cats, this is thought to be as black coats allow cats to blend well into the night, which is their prime hunting time and helps them to be more effective hunters, like small panthers.
If you would like to offer one of our little panthers their forever home, please get in touch...
It's going to be a Beautiful day, we are all set up for our open day 11-2pm. Come along and have fun whilst supporting our Charity. We look forward to seeing you all 😻
Sunday progress with nervous girl Larissa slowly starting to trust
us.
This very handsome boy is our Errol.
when he came to us, he had been straying for quite some time and was matted, un neutered and very scared of people.
We quickly took care of his matts and his'snip', but conquering his fear was a much bigger challenge.
We started by gently talking to him when he felt like engaging (dinnertime), while he hissed back at us, then slowly offering him Lick-e-lix on a fingertip, but the real breakthrough was when he met his soulmate, Enid. She is the missing piece of his heart, the love of his life, the centre of his universe.
Enid is a little younger than Errol but he is still only a couple of years old himself so they have a fine time playing, then cuddle up together for a nap.
The added bonus for us is that Errol is so filled with love and joy that he has now decided that he loves us too, and enjoys a fuss and a stroke.
Obviously, with a bond this strong, Errol and Enid need a new home together.
Do you have room in your home for a love this BIG?

Marion came into our care in May last year in a shocking state as part of a prosecution case 😿 She had a traumatic first 2 years of her life living in a multi-cat household having had many litters! When she was taken to the vets she was found to have a dead fetus inside her womb and was treated for pyrometra.
Marion was terrified of people. We did our very best to socialise her and earn her trust. We made a little progress, but she was struggling in a Cattery enviroment.
She has now spent several months with her incredible fosterers and has come on leaps and bounds 😺
She is such a sweet pretty girl, her favourite thing is play time, she loves her toys 😺 and she loves her food!
She is still not comfortable with being petted and would very much like a family to respect that. But we do hope that with the progress she has made she will learn to trust her forever family and start to enjoy being petted 😻
Marion is looking for a quiet home with adults, she will need a lot of patience but she will be worth it.
Once she has built up her confidence she would like to have the option to play outside in a garden.
If you have a space in your home for this very special girl please email us at
