From Wednesday last week, I didn’t have a car, so Wednesday and Thursday’s walk were on the common from Preston Grove.

It made a nice change and we walked down to the farm for a coffee both days. R had a great time on Wednesday running about and picking up sticks. L1 and L had a ball running together. They enjoyed splashing in the streams and sniffing about.

Last week was the last for Paws and Claws, the business is now closed. It’s been a pleasure looking after the doggies and chatting to their owners.

I have really enjoyed going to different places for walks, playing in the garden and having cuddles.

I wish all the dogs and their owners a very happy Christmas and best wishes for the new year.

Today we just had L2 here. We had a very wet walk at Horton Park but the dogs still enjoyed it and had a sniff about. After the walk, we popped into the Old Moat Garden Center for a coffee.

They were warm and cosy in the robes and spent the afternoon snoozing.

L2 is here for the day today. We walked at Hatchlands with a friend and her L.

It was a very enjoyable walk despite the rain, hailstones and thunder storm. The dogs found it a little unsettling but soon carried on walking and were fine. They enjoyed the stream and the puddles and sniffing about.

When we returned home, I gave them a warm shower and wrapped them up in the drying robes. They have been snoozing on the sofa.

Today we have all the L’s and they have had lots of fun.

This morning we played in the garden for a short while before going over to the secure field. They had a great time at the field dipping in the pond, running after a ball and chasing each other.

When we returned home, they had a chew each and returned to play. I threw pieces of cheese in the grass, which they enjoyed finding.

They are now snoozing 😴

Today we have L and L2 here for the day.

We joined friends at Polesden Lacey for a walk, such a shame about the weather but it was still an enjoyable walk.

They all had a shower and a chew when we returned home, we pottered about for a while and played with the toys and now they are napping 😴

Today we have L here. We had a wet but enjoyable walk at Hatchlands with a friend and her S.

When we returned home, I gave them a warm wash, their legs and feet were a bit muddy. I put them in the drying robes to keep them warm.

They are now snoozing 😴

Today we had L1, usually we have three L’s on a Thursday, so as we just had L1 I decided to do a morning walk as well as the secure field this afternoon.

We went back up to Box Hill ( we were there yesterday) and they had great fun running in the leaves. They had a drink out of the trough and they played together in the grassy area near the trough.

They had a rest while I had some lunch, then we went to the field. I got a ball out which they both loved, L is much faster than S but always drops it, then S picks it up.

We are now home and they are resting on the sofa.

Today L and R are here. We walked up at Box Hill this morning with a friend and her S. They had a fabulous time running around in the leaves.

We came across the water trough, they had a drink and R jumped right in and had a little splash about.

We stopped at the cafe, the dogs enjoyed treats and we had a coffee.

This afternoon, R and I have played ball in the garden, L sat on the patio watching us.
They are now napping.

Yesterday we had L here for the day. We walked at Horton with a friend and her S. After, we popped into The Old Moat for a coffee and treats for the dogs.

When we returned home, they had a warm shower and a chew. They then settled down for a nap.

Today we are joined by L2 and B, they were very happy to see each other. We walked at Bocketts farm with friends and their dogs. It was a lovely mix of woods and fields, we had a two hour walk, the dogs absolutely loved it.

This afternoon L and B have played in the garden and napped on the sofa. S has taken himself off upstairs to lie on the bed.

Today we had L2 here.

We met friends up at Headley for a walk. The dogs had a lot of fun running around and sniffing about.
L found a ball and carried it for a while, dropping it to sniff, eventually she lost it. She then concentrated on picking up sticks., some were very long but she tried her best to carry them.

When we returned home, they had a nice warm shower and then I put the drying robes on them.

They enjoyed pate on the licky mats.

20/11/2023

On Friday we were joined by B, he hasn’t been for a long while but settled in straight away. L1 was absolutely over the moon to see him.

We walked at Box Hill, they had a fabulous time running in the leaves.

Saturday’s walk was at Princes Coverts. L and B ran around like crazy together and enjoyed dipping in the ponds and puddles.

On Sunday we walked at Headley. They all had a great fun running around and sniffing about.
Later in the day, L and B went home.

Today we have had L here. We walked at Hatchlands with a friend and her S.

This afternoon we pottered about in the garden for a while. L and S enjoyed an egg carton with small pieces of cheese inside.
They have had naps on the sofa too.

Yesterday R and L came for the day. We walked at Nonsuch Park with a friend and her S.

We haven’t been to Nonsuch for a while and the dogs had a lovely time. It was a bit muddy in parts but not too bad and it was a nice dry day.

When we returned home I played ball with R for a while. L and S settled on the sofa.

Today L2, Puppy L and L1 have joined us. L1 has come to stay for a few days.

We started the day off by playing in the garden. L2 enjoyed fetching balls and L1 and puppy L had a good play together.

We went over to the secure field, unfortunately it rained the whole time but that didn’t stop the dogs from having fun.

This afternoon we have played in the garden and the dogs have had naps on the sofa.

Monday we just had L here for the day. We walked at Horton Park with a friend and her S.
It was dry for the beginning of the walk and absolutely tipped it down for the rest of it.

We popped into The Old Moat Garden Center to warm up and have a coffee. The dogs enjoyed some treats and attention from other customers.

Today we are joined by L2 and we walked at Polesden Lacey this morning with a friend her L. Even though it poured with rain we had a really lovely time. The dogs enjoyed sniffing and rolling about in the leaves.

When we returned home, I gave S and L a warm shower and put them in the drying robes. After having a play with the toys, L has settled on the sofa.

On Saturday L1 arrived for a nights stay. We walked at Gomshall and even though it rained on and off, L and S had a lovely time.

Monday L2 and L were here for the day. We went to Hatchlands for a walk with a friend and her S. They had a lovely time sniffing about in the leaves.

In the afternoon L2 and I played ball for a while, then we settled down on the sofa and they all had a nap.

Today we met up with two friends and their dogs, S and L at Denbies. We haven’t been to Denbies for a long time and the dogs thoroughly enjoyed sniffing about walking in the leaves. L2 had fun picking up sticks, some were far too big but she was very determined!

After pottering about in the garden for a while, we are now resting on the sofa.

Back to normal this week after a nice few days off in half term.

On Monday we had L here. We walked at Polesden Lacey with a friend and her S. It was a wet and muddy walk but enjoyable.

On Tuesday Puppy L came to stay for a few days. We were also had L2 for the day. They had a lovely play together and we went to the Secure Field for our walk.

Wednesday was a wet day but that didn’t stop us from having a nice walk at Box Hill. R, L, S and Puppy L had a good sniff about and run around together.
In the afternoon R had a great time fetching the ball until it started to rain heavier and I came indoors. After a while R joined us in the sofa.

Today L1 came for the day, Puppy L was delighted to see her. We went over to the Secure Field. They had a great time running through the large puddles.
They spent the rest of the day playing in the house and resting.

19/10/2023

Yesterday S and I were joined by L and R. We met a friend with her S on Ashtead common. They had a good sniff about and run around together.

In the afternoon I played ball with R for a while, it was raining but that didn’t put R off. The others were very sensible and stayed in the house where it was warm and dry.

Today we have L2, Puppy L and L1, she is staying the night. We spent the morning in the garden running around and playing together. I gave them a kitchen roll tube each with small pieces of cheese inside, they had fun pulling them apart.

This afternoon we went over to the secure field, it rained some of the time but that didn’t stop them from running around. S found a ball, so they focused on that for a while. L1 found holes to stick her head down, she loves holes.

When we returned home, they had a chew each and they are now napping on the sofas.

Yesterday S and I were joined by L for the day. We walked at Hatchlands Park with a friend and her S.

The dogs enjoyed sniffing in the woods and running around in the fields.

Today L2 has joined us. My friend and her S joined us at the Secure Field. They had a good sniff about and dip in the pond. S and L2 chased after the ball too.

Yesterday S and I were joined by Puppy Loki. In the morning we pottered about in the garden and had cuddles on the sofa. They also enjoyed a licky mat with chicken pate spread on them.

In the afternoon we went over to the secure field. They had a great run around and a dip in the pond. There were also lots of smells to sniff.

After the field visit we popped to Priory Farm for a coffee, it was lovely sitting in the sun.

When we returned home, they had a chew each and we had a rest on the sofa.

Today we had L and B here. We had a really lovely walk at Polesden with a friend and her S.

S and L had a good run around together and they all enjoyed sniffing about.

We spent the afternoon pottering in the garden and resting.

Puppy L arrived on Sunday for a few days. We had a nice walk up at Headley.

On Monday L joined us and we met a friend and her S at Box Hill. The dogs had a lovely sniff about in the woods.

Today L2 came, Puppy L was very excited to see her. They had a lovely play together and they chased after the ball.

They had fun sniffing out pieces of cheese in the grass.

We went over to the secure field, they had a lovely time fetching a ball, dipping in the pond and sniffing.

Today we had L1 and L2 join us. We spent the morning playing in the garden with the toys and balls.

They enjoyed sniffing in the grass for pieces of cheese.

In the afternoon we went over to the secure field. They had a good run around and sniff about. L2 found a ball which kept them all amused.

On Monday we just had L here, we went to Polesden Lacey for a walk with a friend and her S. It was a beautiful day and the dogs thoroughly enjoyed sniffing about and running in the fields.

Today S and I were joined by Puppy
L and L2. We spent the morning in the garden. L2 loved chasing a ball, with Puppy L joining in too and they all enjoyed sniffing out pieces of cheese in the grass.

In the afternoon we went over to the Secure Field. They had a lovely time chasing a ball, dipping in the pond and sniffing about.

When we returned home we had more ball play and the odd rest.

Today we had L1 here and B, he hasn’t been here for a long time but settled in straight away.

The sun was nice and warm this morning, B and I enjoyed sitting in it. They had fun sniffing out pieces of cheese in the grass and
they had a licky mat each with beef pate spread on them.

In the afternoon we went over to the secure field, they had a good explore and sniff about.

On Friday afternoon J arrived for the weekend. We had a potter in the garden, then the dogs had a sleep.

On Saturday we walked up at Headley, S was disappointed to discover that the pond is still dry, but he still wondered around in it.
I wasn’t feeling very well, so in the afternoon i went for a nap, my husband sat with the dogs, they were happy to snooze.

I had to miss Sunday’s walk but my husband and son took the dogs to Oxshott common. They had a lovely walk and sniff about. J went home in the afternoon.

On Monday we had L2 join us for the day. We walked with a friend and her S at Horton. It rained on and off but the dogs enjoyed sniffing and saying hello to other dogs. I still wasn’t feeling very well and luckily the dogs were happy to snooze and rest on the sofa. R went home in the evening.

Today S and I were joined by L2 and puppy L. We spent the morning in the garden chasing after balls and they enjoyed sniffing out pieces of cheese in the grass.

In the afternoon we went over to the secure field. They had a lot of fun running after a ball, dipping in the pond and sniffing about.

This week has flown by, I have just realised I haven’t posted since Tuesday.

On Wednesday S and I were joined by J, R and L. Also R2 arrived to stay for a few days. She was very excited and settled in straight away.

In the afternoon we went to the secure field in West Horsley. They had a lovely time sniffing about.

Thursday L1 and L2 came for the day. R2 was happy to have playmates. They had fun sniffing out pieces of cheese in the grass.

In the afternoon we went over to the secure field in Redhill. They had a good run about and there was lots of sniffing to do.

Today we walked on the common with a friend and her S. We walked down to the farm for a coffee, the dogs enjoyed treats and water.

Wow, it’s been hot today. We were joined by J, R, T and L.

We walked on the common early before it got too hot. My son came with us to give me a hand, which was really nice, they love him, they got excited when he ran, they ran after him. They thoroughly enjoyed cooling off in the pool.

When we returned home I gave them all a rinse off after being in the pond. R had a splash in the paddling pool and we played ball for a very short while.

We spent the afternoon in the cool of the house with the occasional wonder in the garden.

I have just realised I haven’t posted since Thursday, time is flying by!

On Friday S, L and I walked on the common with friends, unfortunately we were not in time for a coffee, which was a shame.

On Saturday we took S and L to Brockam, they had a dip in the river and enjoyed a good sniff about.

Sunday we walked along the canal at Ripley, it was very busy but enjoyable. They had a little dip in the river there too.

On Monday we were joined by J, we walked up at Box Hill which was nice and cool in the trees. We spent the afternoon in the house with the curtains closed, it was nice and cool.

L returned home, she was very happy to see her family.

Today we had Puppy L and L2, I got the ball pit and paddling pool out in the morning, before it became too hot.

We went over to the secure field, they all enjoyed the pond and a sniff about. I didn’t get a ball out today as it was so hot.

We spent the afternoon in the cool of the house. They had a licky mat each with pate on and had little naps.

Yesterday S and L were joined by J and R. We walked on the common with a friend and her S.
They had a good sniff about and play together. S loved rolling in the dry grass.

In the afternoon R and I played ball with L joining in every now and then.

Today we just had L1 come for the day. We played in the garden until the rain started. They enjoyed an egg carton each with little pieces of cheese inside.

This afternoon we went over to the secure field. L1 loved sticking her head down holes and digging. They had a good wander and sniff about.

When we returned home, they had a licky mat each with pate on, they went down very well.
