Today we say a HUGE Thank you & also goodbye 👋to one of our longest serving employee's, our specials expert & master of creations Brian 👨‍🎨.

Over the years there has been nothing Brian can't turn his hand too 😁, and it hasn't always been with bricks... sea glass sculptures 🌊, wire bonsai trees 🌴gonks 🧙‍♂️ hand paintings 🎨and not forgetting our famous bee brick 🐝.

Brian officially started here at Furness Brick on 15th April 1996 🗓but spent some time previously to this on site fitting one of our very important pieces of machinery.
Today he hands over his gloves as our specials supervisor after 29+ years.

This morning Brian commented on how he's seen many many people come & go, including many characters but he's enjoyed every moment 🥹.

Brian, from all at Furness Brick, we can't thank you enough for your time and dedication to your job over the last 29+ years, we wish you all the best & look forward to hearing about your retirement adventures 🌎.

Let's talk Bespoke 👩‍🏫..

This lovely customer had an idea 💡 & we wanted to help that idea become real life...
When Lee came to the office, he liked so many different finishes in our clamp range that it was just too hard to choose "The One" 😔..... so with help from Nick our Sales Director, they created "The Stollers Blend" 😁.

We used a mixture of full colour orange product, tinting a % of the bricks white (25% to be exact) to create a bespoke blend, But we didn't just stop there, Brian became hard at work hand stamping 'Stollers' & '1905' into the bricks before they were fired to give a real personalised feel. 🥰

Rachael visted the shop earlier this morning (resisting the cakes in the cafe ( ) 👌 to capture the bricks as they stand bright and proud in the Stollers showroom, & how stunning do they look 😍😍😍🧱.

🧱 Let's just take a moment for Red Bridge Farmhouse 😍
Yesterday Nick, our sales director took a quick trip to Preston, we let him have an hour away from the factory to meet Grace & gorgeous baby Millie 👶.

Grace & Henry have built this stunning farmhouse using our 80mm Imperial Natural Orange Medium Light facing bricks during lockdown, doesn't it look superb 😁💫

🍊Natural Orange comes in light, medium and dark shades, each with a unique texture and finish, offering natural aesthetics and subtle variations in tone and feel.

With all of the final touches in place we thought it deserved a mention on the grid to show it off 📸

It is certainly cosy season ❄️ & here in the office we are ready for warm christmas pie's and loaded hot chocolates by a roaring fireplace, 🥧☕️ ... we are unfortunately missing the fireplace...so we made our own 😁 now for the treats..

Forget Jenny from the block 🚫 It's all about the Bee Block 🐝.

Just like the Bee Brick, the block is the perfect Bee&Bee 🏩 for those Solitary Bee's that play such a crucial role in pollination.

Did you know? ☝️
They collect pollen for their offspring to eat while developing, a solitary bee will visit between 20,000 to 100,000+ blossoms per day compared to a Honey bee's 50-1000 a day.. could they BEE any more useful? 😯

AND with the solitary bee being less aggressive than a Honey bee 🍯 that also means you don't need to run while holding your ice cream 🍦.

The block can be made in any size up too 400mmx400mm & finishes off any garden perfectly 🌞

The best place to position your Bee Bee&Bee is in a warm & sunny area, south facing ideally 1Metre from the ground.
