Come down to Pooches Play house and meet Sharon and the team. Your dog will be socialized, exercised and played with by passionate and caring members of staff. Also at the new day centre we have pooches grooming salon which was previously known as Alder House grooming Salon. We are open Monday to Friday 7am-7pm
Saturday 10am - 11.30am, We also hold a one hour induction between 11am - 1pm for any

new pooches who would like to come and play. Full Day £20.35
Half Day £14.85

Sharon Tomlinson (Owner)

After a career in finance I decided to pursue my lifetime wish of working with animals after I got an opportunity to take voluntary redundancy. We constructed a boarding Cattery at home and Millie our first Cocker Spaniel joined our family. Millie is almost 12 now ans a little senile and loosing her sight but started our love affair with the breed and we now have 6 Cocker Spaniels. Millie is a little to old for daycare but the other 5 go everyday. My younger 5 were bred by me and when I started showing last year I could not have been prouder when my Vera got placed at her first Champ show at 6 months and qualified for Crufts.

I trained as a dog groomer 9 years ago and opened a grooming salon. In October 2013 I opened Pooches Play House Doggy Day Care Centre

Katie Devine

I have always loved animals from being a small child and Max our Cocker Spaniel was my best friend growing up. I am now the proud owner of Molly a lab cross which attends daycare everyday, a Tortoise called Sebastian and Teddy my very mischievous cat.

I started Volunteering for Sharon who owns Pooches Play House 5 years ago whilst I was doing my NVQ 3 in Animal Management at Walkden College and have worked for her ever since when on holiday from college and then Bangor University where I graduated in July 2017 with a Zoology with Conservation degree. I then joined Pooches Play House full time. Working with animals have always been my dream and I would never have considered any other career.

Natalie Tomblin

I joined Pooches Play House as a volunteer in 2016 and was delighted to be offered an apprenticeship. I completed my level 2 Diploma in Animal Care last year. I love dogs and have 3 of my own Roxy my Staff, Loki my Pomeranian cross, Lilo my French Bulldog and Luna my Husky. Luna my Husky has been coming to work with me everyday since a young pup and absolutely loves interacting with all the other daycare dogs.

Melissa Gaskell

I joined Pooches Play House on a Traineeship straight from school 2 years ago and then progressed onto an apprenticeship for my Level 1 Animal Care I completed this in 2018. I absolutely love dogs ans this is my perfect job. My french bulldog Willamena comes to work with me where she loves playing with all the other puppies.

Lucy Cope

I joined Pooches Play House two days a week as a volunteer to gain work experience, while i was completing my NVQ Level 3 in Animal Management. After leaving college I started work at Pooches and absolutely love it. We have always had dogs in the family and I am experienced in larger breeds.

Emily Griffiths

I was studying for my Level 2 Animal Care Diploma full time at Wigan & Leigh college and joined Pooches Play House to gain the work experience required on my course. After I completed my college course I started to work full time at pooches because I love working with the dogs. At home I’m the owner to Cats and Tarantulas.

Nicole Tyrer

I am currently volunteering at Pooches Play House both in Daycare and the Grooming room, I absolutely love this love spending time with all the pooches, My staffy puppy also comes to daycare and loves playing with all the other puppies.
