Sarah has had a fantastic day today, guest Training for a Splash.
A big thanks to Debs for organising with lots of yummy cakes, drinks and shady areas for the dogs and handlers. Everyone did such a great job on the courses. It was lovely to work with everyone :-)

Goodie Bags for our Summer camp 24th and 25th of July are all ready! A big thanks to

for making the toys
We look forward to having an exciting summer camp training Scent work, Obedience, Agility, Hoopers and Vito Games. There will also be a Have a go at a Rally round and A fun Retrieve competition. And lots of refreshments.
There are a couple of spaces if anyone would like to take part let us know :-)

The next fun Rally competition prep workshops will be Sunday 7th of September.
10-1 with some Lunch again after :-)
Money raising for Jess Theatre group costumes this time. Please let me know if you would like a space to work your choice up to 6 rounds on 3 courses.

Time for a little reflection that the Goldens did some cool work at Laverton. Woody was still a bit glum really missing his partner Skye :-(
It was lovely to see Tom and Jess throw themselves into show roles Scoring and scribing alongside many other roles we asked of them.
It was lovely to be surrounded by great people and we cant thank the scorers and judges enough for all their help.
A big thanks to and Maria Nash for all the Admin and Craft before and keeping the weekend running. It was lovely to have well thought our Training rings providing opportunities to reward dogs alongside some coaching for their handlers. (Takings will be split between a dog charity Emma supports and a small theatre group that Jess attends)
Well done everyone who achieved some positives in the ring. Keep Rallying!
We have unloaded, prepped ground and equipment and bounced back to work :-)

A really sad day for me today. We've said goodbye to Skye (Aurora Skye Goldbounty).
She was the first dog I was responsible for training and despite lots of ups and downs, she taught us all so much. She was fast, naturally talented and was pretty good at everything she tried......
She retired from competition when I broke (if you know, you know) but she'd have kept going given half a chance.
She was still working last week in classes, meeting 15 puppies in training but on Sunday she had some kind of seizure affecting her balance, walking and eating.
They say you'll know when the time is right.....
Thanks to support from Mathilde Granger we nursed Skye and gave her every chance. She wouldn't eat properly so spent today wating cheese pieces and venison fillet.
She's back home now and laid to rest. The final pain was when Woody was allowed in to see her and he led next to her whining 😢

Rest peacefully Skye. You were 1 in a million. Stu
