Barney’s last night with us tonight 😢. I’m going to miss this lovely gentle, bouncy, giant. We’ve had a lovely 3 mile cross country walk today and now we’re all relaxing in front of the fire. I love my job 😍

Winnie’s last day of her 2 week holiday with us. Extra evening playtime doing what she loves, chasing the ball and playing with her buddies.
Finished off the day with a special treat of strawberry, banana and melon ice lolly - all homemade and dog friendly of course. We’ve loved having you, Winnie and I’m looking forward to your next stay next month. ❤️🐕‍🦺

Winnie has had a lovely time digging around in the mud. But all good things must come to an end and the only thing left to do is the clearing up.
I’m so glad we included the shower when we made the dog play room.

Dog walkers beware, this gorgeous little snake was spotted on Salcombe Hill this morning! Adders are the only venomous snake that live in the uk. As the weather is warming up they have come out of hibernation, they can be seen basking in the sun on rocks, logs, long grass and in the common growth. They do not mean any harm to anyone, they will bite if stood on or messed with.

Adder bites can be fatal to dogs, especially if bitten on the muzzle. Signs of an Adder bite usually appear within 2 hours and can include local swelling, pain, bleeding and lameness. If a bite from an Adder is suspected you should pick your dog up and carry them, this helps prevent the venom circulating their blood system. If possible use cold water to help minimise swelling. You must call your vet IMMEDIATELY.

Adders are protected by the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981; this means it is an offence to injure, kill or harm them.
