⭐Introducing Georgina Nixon RVN⭐

George first started working at Wendover Heights as a trainee veterinary nurse in 2002, she studied at Berkshire College of Agriculture and went on to qualify in 2004.
She remained at Wendover Heights once qualifying and worked predominantly in the equine department before taking on the role of head nurse and leading the nursing team.
Between 2010 and 2011, George took a career break from nursing and grabbed the opportunity to travel to Portugal with her horse to focus on her dressage training.
George returned back to the UK in 2012 and focused on training horses for clients and running yards, then in 2015 returned once again to a part time nursing position at Wendover Heights within the equine team.

Her main interests have always been poor performance and lameness issues, but she also loves diagnostic imaging and scoping, both endoscopy and gastroscopy. Another main interest is rehabilitation and how to work with horses following injury or surgery to get them back to full fitness.

At the beginning of 2021, George took on another part time job with Kieran Rowley at The Equine Dental Surgery which gave her a whole new insight into equine dentistry. She learnt a lot about common problems discovered at routine dental checks and a range of advanced dental techniques.
In April 2024 George returned to a full time position back at Wendover Heights and became Practice Manager of the newly launched Wendover Park Equine Vets last summer.

George is more likely to be found in the office rather than the clinic these days, but will always try and sneak out to see to the patients and clients 👩‍⚕️🐴

⭐️ And that’s a wrap 😊 our final introduction rounds up nurse awareness month and we have loved reading all your lovely comments towards our fantastic nursing team.
I’m sure you will all get the opportunity to meet them at some point, whether here at the clinic or visiting your yard ⭐️

⭐️Introducing Anna Collins Equine Veterinary Technician⭐️

Anna joined Park Vets in 2000 as a Veterinary Imaging Technician and has always been on hand to assist the vets on the road with X-rays and ultrasounds.
When Wendover Park was launched last summer, we were very lucky to gain Anna as an Equine Veterinary Technician and the support she provides to the whole team has been noticed by all.

You'll often find Anna out and about with the vets, in the clinic or offering a helpful hand in the office.
Her main interest has always been diagnostic imaging, she is the go to for assisting and setting up for the perfectly positioned x-ray and also has a strong passion for ultrasonography.
Her years of experience and skilled, calm manner with a variety of horses helps the vets to deal with many patients whether being treated in familiar or unfamiliar surroundings.

Anna's love for horses is not just a profession or a pastime, it's a lifestyle.
In her spare time, Anna runs a small livery yard and has several horses of her own.
She is a keen competitor in both dressage and showing and was lucky enough to take two of her horses to ‘HOYS’ in 2010 and 2013.

Whether Anna is mucking out, answering the phone, getting directions to meet vets, making sure the correct equipment is allocated or simply trying to make a cuppa, Anna takes it all in her stride with a 'keep calm and crack on' attitude.

Thank you Anna for everything you do and your contributions to WPEV 😊🐴

⭐Introducing Olivia Coulton RVN⭐

Livvy has worked within the animal industry since leaving school, she decided to pursue a career as a veterinary nurse and went on to qualify in 2017.
During her time as an RVN, she has worked in many different settings. First opinion, referral, out of hours, charity, livestock, wildlife, equine, zoo, small animal and exotics.
Livvy decided to continue with her studies and went on to do a further nursing certificate in zoological species, which also included topics on equine.
Livvy first joined Wendover Heights in 2018 where she used her knowledge and expertise to nurse all the small animal and exotic patients. In 2021, Livvy left to follow other adventures but then returned to Wendover Park Equine in July 2024 as one of our equine nurses.

Her main interests are anaesthesia and medicine cases and she always jumps at the chance to help the team with these patients.
Livvy is normally found in the clinic and will no doubt meet you on arrival, or will be out and about with the vets assisting with procedures.

Away from work she has 4 dogs and 2 horses which keep her very busy and she loves nothing more than going on a long hack, enjoying the local countryside.

Livvy has been a fantastic addition to the team and takes on any challenge that is thrown her way. She is hard working, committed and incredibly knowledgable.

Thank you Livvy for everything you do and your contributions to WPEV 😊🐴
