Help.....puppy attack! 😍
🐾 Our nursing assistant, Ella was recently given the oh so terrible task of assisting the vet with this adorable litter of spaniel puppies, all here for their first health check, vaccinations and microchipping prior to heading off to their new forever homes! 💛
They are just too much...... 😍
💊 This week is World Antibiotic Awareness Week (18th-24th November). When your pet is prescribed antibiotics we strongly advise that you complete the provided course, unless otherwise directed.
🚮 However, if you do have any left over packs of unused (or partially unused) antibiotics, or any other medication, then we ask that you return these to the practice so they can be disposed of correctly.
Disposing of medications at home can end up harming the environment, wildlife or other pets. 💊🗑🚫
😍 This adorable litter of ragdoll kittens were in recently to be neutered and microchipped ready to go to their new homes!
🔊 Sound on for maximum cuteness! 💕
Post surgery our nursing team gave lovely Lettice a pampering session, brushing her coat and feeding her some tasty lunch! 💆♀️😋
❤️🩹 Poor Dotty managed to cut her paw which need stitches!
🐾 She was a very good girl but was not a fan of her recovery kennel so the team let her snooze in our prep area. 🔊 Be sure to have the sound on for some impressive snores 💤
😺 Happy Ginger Cat Appreciation Day! 😺
📸 Share a picture of the ginger cat in your life, so we can all show some appreciation . . .
🦴 Early treatment of arthritis can reduce the pain and suffering your pet experiences as a result of their condition.
💕 Help them to live life to the full – ask your vet about the signs.
☀️ Kong's provide great enrichment and also be a great way to cool down on a warm day.
⭐️Ingredients: 🍌1 banana 🍓 A few strawberries 🍦 Plain yoghurt
⭐️Method:
🐾 Mush the banana
🐾 Chop up your strawberries
🐾 Add with yoghurt to your Kong.
You can always add water to your Kong & freeze to make it last longer! ⏰
🌞 Although the weather has cooled slightly from earlier in the week we still need to be careful with our dogs, and on the look out for signs of heat exhaustion.
🐶 🐾 Some dogs are more sensitive to the warm weather, these include over-weight dogs, older dogs, darker coats and brachycephalic (short-nosed) breeds including Pugs, Bulldogs, Frenchies, Shih Tzus and Boxers.
🐇 Although rabbits originate from the western Mediterranean, they’re not actually used to spending too much time in the red-hot sun. This is because in the wild, rabbits hide out in deep burrows where it’s cool and shaded.
🌞 Hot summer days can prove dangerous to our bunnies. Here are our 5 summer tips for rabbit owners . . . https://www.myfamilyvets.co.uk/5-summer-tips-for-rabbit-owners

😍 Adorable Wendy was very chill for her recent heart check up. Wendy suffers from a condition where one side of her heart is enlarged. This means the heart is not able to effectively pump blood around the body. 🫀
To check how the her condition was progressing Wendy had an ultrasound scan of the heart, ECG monitoring and blood test.
🐌 Deadly lungworm is still on the rise with 2871
cases now reported in the UK! Transmitted by
slugs and snails, lungworm can be fatal to dogs.
✅ It is preventable though, but only with a
monthly, vet-prescribed product. So speak to us
about protection for your dog.
