I met this horse at a clinic with Grant Moon last week. The plan was to a practice competition shoeing but we decided this poor lad needed some extra help so decided upon a wide webbed straight bar instead of traditional shoeing.
A good task a lot learned and hopefully helped the horse too.

Helping out a nice 2yr old with a painful sub mural abscess (under the wall).
Due to the heavy resection it was decided that shoes were needed with a small flap of steel to help hold the iodine soaked cotton wool in.

40S (Block 6) Craig Taylor (ATF Doug Crawford FWCF). "Craig is way ahead of his group with his portfolio and well above target for completion. He is also the top of his group with both his practical and theory."
39L (Block 7) Hannah Bain (ATF Neil Madden FWCF Class 1). "Hannah has completed her portfolio and is well on track for her Diploma exam in May. She is and has always been consistent with the high standard of work she has completed in both theory and practical subjects."

A good weekend for me and Hugo!!
Hugo won his shoemaking at Moreton in marsh on Saturday then went to chatsworth and cane second.
Then as a team we won best shod heavy hunter at moreton in marsh too!
Team work makes the dream work!!
