💙💛 Pony Of the Year Show 2024 💙💛
A great show for the girls and the ponies. Our aim was to get used to the new(er) ones and start pushing to be a bit more competitive on the others and the girls delivered.
Clotilde & Fly had a super show, jumping loads of double clears, qualifying for both Grand Prix finals and finishing in the placings 🧡
Clotilde's new one, Gem was an absolute saint taking it all in her stride their relationship is developing and the rounds got better and better as the week went on, they even qualified for the Grand Prix final, though had a bit of a nasty fall on the last day, both pony and rider are all okay 🩶
Halo & Minna were going for it and although they were unlucky with a bit of 4fault-itus they jumped into the Grand Prix final and through to the jump off for a few poles after an exhausting week! 🤍
Nessie and Minna are going from strength to strength and it looks like it's really coming together for them. Some nice double clears, qualified for the Grand Prix final and now ready to rev up a bit in the jump offs 🤎
Yesterday they were all re clipped, shod and had plenty of field time, today they have massages and some more R&R before we all head off to Blue Chip on Friday...!

Wow. What a year 🤩
Couldn't be prouder of my riders, the horses and my team 🙏🏼
The memories and achievements created by all are unbelievable and impossible to list but this round up show just how much fun we have had and how successful we have all been.
I am so very grateful to those of you that have been on this adventure with me, if you can take anything away from this journey let it be this...
When they tell you, "you can't" use every last doubt cast to fuel the fire inside of you 🔥 and quietly show them you found the way...
When it feels difficult, impossible or endless, don't focus on what you can not do but instead chip away consistently at what you can and watch the positive results flood in 💪🏼
Remember to look around you and take in the moment, the experiences and the opportunities. Trust the path you are on, on the way to your destination 🥰 sometimes where we plan to go isn't where we are due to end up - often it ends up much better 😉
Laugh, smile, have fun, be kind and never forget your love for the horses 🐎🙏🏼❤️
As we arrive at 2024 I look back on the year we have had and I can't quite believe how much we manage it fit in!

As well as just recently, opening back up to the public for lessons and training 🐎
But my goodness, Amelia, Minna, Clotilde what a fantastic time we have had! Thank you for so many laughs 😂 so much awful singing and dancing 💃🏻 so many sleep overs and early mornings 😴 for being total fuss pots to feed 🍽️ for having me truck you all round the country 🚛 regardless of snow, wind or storms ⚡️🌪️❄️ but for always always being dedicated, committ
I could tell you we came 1st 🥇 & 3rd 🥉 today...and that we did...but we also threw in some (unnecessary) gymnastics 🫣
The highs and lows of showjumping - brush yourself off, get back on, re focus on and don't forget to RIDE! 😝

Welsh Section A 🧡Chestnut 🧡 Gelding 🧡 7 years 🧡 11.1 hands
Rio is a 7 year old Section A. I have had him with me since October and know the family he has come from well who had him 2 years (vetted Oct 2020). Unfortunately their youngest went off the idea of riding and so Rio came to us after a bit of time chewing grass! Rio has been super and is a real yard favourite - he is full of character and personality and has plenty of ability to go with it!
He has had some schooling from us and has also been used within our riding school/ training centre. He is a really lovely little lead rein pony or for a brave jokey a 1st pony, otherwise a 2nd pony. I only say brave as he isn't a boring plod along and you do need to steer him, he doesn't just bumble round on auto pilot. He would also do really well in a family where an older child could ride him a bit and then a very novice younger child could just enjoy him.
A family that might want to get out to some shows he would be completely ideal as he is a read head turner. You will see near the end of the video a picture of him from a showing class - which he excelled in WH and in hand.
He has also done all sorts of rallies and unaffiliated fun jumping and fancy dress classes as well as hacking both on his own, being lead from another and in hand.
Rio likes to have a job and is better in consistent work, he is very easy to handle, turn out, catch and bring in, will stand to be groomed, is good for the farrier and to clip, travels well in both a lorry or trailer and is used to dogs, chickens, cats, goats and farm machinery.

30 Min Groom and Hack
Following the success of our 15min Taster lessons, we will now be offering Groom and Hack, a 30 min lesson available on Saturday the 26th of November for the bargain price of £20 per rider!! This is available to all clients old and new ages 4-400. We will continue to run this on the last Saturday of every month
During this session you will groom your pony, help us tack it up and go for a walk (trot if your able) around our farm! Come on your own, with your friends or maybe try a ride as a family.
At Queenz we believe that riding can teach young people many important skills, not all of them in the saddle.

We are all impressed by her renewed enthusiasm and fresh attitude. She's been taking lots of responsibility in a proactive way, and always making sure to check in with senior staff rather than making assumptions. She's been really reliable and got stuck in at all times with a big smile on her face.

2021 - it's not been easy for anyone, in fact it has been a really tough, really rubbish year....BUT...

I know that we have so much to be grateful and thankful for but there was heartache and sadness too and I acknowledge that and I am so proud that we were able to come together to deal with it & help one another through. 🥰

Today I snuck into one of our adult group dressage lessons with @betsyirwin

Firstly I'm not a dressage rider, secondly I'm only just back on board post injury & thirdly I've not had a training session (from anyone) in 6 months!!

But I absolutely loved it and I am definitely happy to brag 😂 that I got three steps of piaffe (which isn't bad going on a horse that doesn't know how to with a rider that's never tried!)

FLY - Liver chestnut 10 year old mare
Has life height at 137.50
Lots of jump, nice and brave, forward ride
65 BS points (Flyby Molly) from pervious owners - if it wasn't for lockdown we would be out jumping her - she doesn't have the record to show it but this pony is definitely going to be a winner!
We have been jumping her round 110 - 115 tracks at home successfully. Actually is better with bigger fences. Olivia loves her but she has 3 already!
I don't have pics or video of her at a show as haven't been able to take her out with covid restrictions. But Olivia did jump her round the 85 & 95 clear round at Cherwell clear both rounds, have video (somewhere).
Holds the bit a little on the left - has had back and teeth checked and all ok.
This pony is better in work - once in work she maintains a nice forward but steady rhythm.
She isn't nasty if you let her get fresh just more forward - we just give her a lunge first.
Haven't had a chance to put her over XC fences as ground is so wet but I think she would be very brave & love it.
Can be a little pushy on the ground if allowed to be - but handled properly she is good.
Turns out with others here - though should be noted she will squeal a bit if something goes up to her in her stable.
Goes on walker but prefers to feel like she is in front rather than behind.
Ideal pony for competitive rider! 🏆
