Todays the Day!

Today is London Marathon day! πŸ₯³

Lauren is all set and ready to go at the start line in Blackheath. It is going to be a warm one today so it will be the case of finish line rather than finish time but we wish her good luck!
Just 26.2 miles to go and the challenge would be completed. πŸ…πŸ
Can we go for one final push to hit her fundraising target?

The lovely Cairo here would love to ask all our amazing supporters if they could spare a few tins/meat pouches at all for him and his fellow friends!

We are sadly running low on meat and really count on this for bringing round our nervous dogs, ensuring dogs that have had surgery have a softer meal and for those that are a little bit picky!

If you have any spare meat tins or pouches you could bring to the centre they dogs would very much appericate it☺️

We also have an Amazon wish list- https://www.amazon.co.uk/registry/wishlist/V88I4GF28BUB/ref=cm_wl_sortbar_v_p_page_1?_encoding=UTF8&page=1

Thanks for your continued support 🐢

It’s the final countdown! 🏁

Not long left to go until ACA Lauren will be running around the streets of London to raise money for the centre. πŸƒπŸΌβ€β™€οΈ

Whilst she may be running in memory of Ziggy, we have many other dogs who are still waiting for their chance of finding their new families and they are all wishing Lauren luck! πŸ€

Ziggy was at the centre for 603 days so the target has been raised to £1603, can you help us reach it? 🀞🏻

Just wanted to let you know how well Holly has settled into her new home. Still loves chasing a ball and zooming round the garden but also quite chilled in her bed.''

Update from Charlie

''Hi

Just thought I'd send you some photos of Mr Charlie Bear in his new home. I know this is what the RSPCA strives for; to see a rescued animal being saved and adopted into a loving home.
He's settled in so well and already made himself so at home. It's clear he's simply grateful to be part of a loving home and we are all in love with him already.

Thank you for rescuing him, we're eternally grateful.

All the best''

This is a lovely update from Flora , who really struggled in kennels and is now doing so well.....just shows that every animals just needs a bit of belief and time πŸ‘

''Hi everyone,

I thought I'd send over another update on Flora and some more photos.

Flora continues to go from strength to strength. She really has come so far in just over 4 weeks.
She now loves the car, she is always happy to jump in and is very relaxed when travelling.
She is also now fine with crossing the busy road at the front of the house.

She loves her daily walks on the south downs and will often feel brave enough to say hello to another dog.

Flora and Loki have become the best of friends, they play ruff and tumble together. And can also be found snuggling together.

Still along way to go but Flora is simply amazing.''

Update from Earl cat,

''Hi

Earl has settled in to his new life brilliantly, he's really come out of himself and is now loving his freedom and the garden, chasing anything that moves. No bees or birds have been caught yet !! His favorite thing is still a good snuggle. Food no longer needs to be eaten in 2 seconds flat, it's great to see him taking his time, leaving and coming back to finish when he's ready.

Thank you so much for letting me take this awesome little man into life. ''

Update from Moxy cat;

''Hi there,

I hope all is well.

I just wanted to update you on Moxy.
It's been a year already and she has settled so well. She's just a lovely affectionate kitty. I love her to bits.

She's a stunner kitty, even the vet said she was so beautiful. They think she has some Siberian mix in her particularly as she has her ear whisps / ear moustaches 😻.

I have attached some pics of her. She has this amazing caramel colour flash through her fur.
Obviously I am bias but she is beautiful with a gentle personality.

Feel free to post the photos. Thank you for introducing me to her.''

Update from Bandit cat,

'This is Bandit we adopt him yesterday.
He is such an amiable cat.
We love him so much.
My daughter rename him Sharky because of his amazing colour.
It's so amazing to observe that he was not even 24 hours in our house and he uses his litter box this morning.''

One our amazing brilliant members of staff is raising money for Blackberry Farm by completing a short run around London. πŸƒπŸΌβ€β™€οΈ

Lauren has worked at Blackberry Farm for 7 years now and in that time, she has seen many animals come through our doors but few caught Lauren’s heart like Ziggy did! He found it really hard to trust people, but with time and some heart, Lauren was able to earn this from him. πŸ’

Some animals, like Ziggy, may not make it out to their forever homes but they find one in our hearts and their memory lives on through us every day. 🐾

So on Sunday 27th April, 3.5 years after running in memory of Maxy, Lauren is running the TCS London Marathon 2025 in memory of little Ziggy. πŸ˜‡

In October 2021, Lauren raised £2062 in memory of Maxy! We would love to beat this but we need your help! ☺️

If you are interested in supporting Lauren on her run or would love to help Blackberry Farm in shaping a better future for every kind please click the link below. πŸ’™

Update from Sasha'

''it's three years today since we collected Sasha and Ruby (we lost Ruby last May) from Blackberry Farm.

Sasha, at 17Β½ years old has finally started to slow down, only physically though, she's still a complete diva and princess in character.

Walks have become slower and shorter, but she has her buggy and sits there and takes in all the smells and sounds.

She is a firm favourite amongst of all the other Border Terrier owners that we meet with for walks.''

Update from Blossom Rabbit;

''I thought you might like an update on Blossom (now Missy Marple). She and our other rescue Sherlock have really hit it off. In less than 24 hours of being introduced they were firm friends. Thank you so much for letting us adopt her as she is the perfect fit for our family and we love her.''
