🦠STRANGLES UPDATE 🦠
We are CLEAR 🥳🥰🥳🥰🥳
Huge thanks to @c&jpartyhire & The Fenwick Hotel for sharing the news with our team.
There are many sore heads this morning but it was a well needed celebration 🥂🍾🍹🥂🍾
Too many people to thank individually for their support and kindness during this time. But a huge thanks to MBM vets who as always have been outstanding not only with getting us through this tough time but for giving us full advice/information on the strangles vaccination a year ago which gave us a huge amount of reassurance knowing our horses were all strangles vaccinated and as well prepared for this as we could be.
However as always good news comes hand in hand with bad as we mourn the loss of the banana protective suit who reported for duty one last time yesterday 🍌 👋
🦠😷 Strangles Update 😷🦠
Delighted to announce at present we are still symptom free 💯
We are being hugely vigilant, following guidance from our outstanding vets, taking temperatures, using litres upon litres of disinfectant, using safety gear, monitoring all horses, all to try and ensure their wellbeing 🐴
As always our liveries who let’s face it are friends not clients have been absolutely brilliant and as we continue to stay in lockdown we are enjoying non horsey socialising (drinking) and mainly taking the mick out of Catriona and her choice of ‘safety gear’ many memes/tiktoks/zoomed in pictures have been made….
We’ve had loads of people get in touch to ask how we are doing which is hugely appreciated and prompted this post 🥰
We are of course down to bare minimum in schooling/breaking/sales having cancelled any arrivals for the foreseeable future so have filled our time with giving meadowhead a facelift 🎨
Here’s some of what we have been up to, as well as a few shots of Catriona at her best wearing what can only be described as a strong contender for the Meadowhead Christmas Night out. 🍌
Breaking video
👋 Good morning 👋
As we head into Winter our full livery horses will shortly be coming off their current 24hr turnout and onto daily turnout meaning we will be busier than ever with mucking out 💩
It’s been lovely over the summer with so many people popping in on their way past for a look around, meeting some of the team and booking their horses in for years to come.
As our time is now more precious than ever we thought it would be worthwhile to make this video to allow potential clients to be taken through the breaking process, see our facilities and how things are done here. 🥰 Of course if further information is needed we are always available for calls/messages and pre arranged show rounds.
We are totally FULL for all livery until the next year but are delighted to start welcoming new horses in 2025 🌼

🖤 ‘Osker Rebel’ or Black to his friends is now available on behalf of our client. 🖤
Black is a super fun, bubbly, forward going pony with a lot of offer. He’s a full Connemara with his sire being ‘Murphy’s Oscar’ out of a ‘Jacks Promise’ dam line.
Black is 14.2hh and 12yrs old, he’s now looking for his next home after 4.5yrs with his current family. He’s done a bit of everything and is a super allrounder although would be wasted not going out jumping as he’s seriously talented.
Hacks both alone and in company and although we don’t see masses of traffic what we have seen he hasn’t been fazed with. Forward going in the school but does have good brakes Absolutely loves to jump, not fazed by fillers and extremely quick in a jump off. Previously jumped competitively to 1.10cm level and attended BS academy/camps etc Black is a seriously fun pony for the right person, he’s bold, brave and careful and is ready to get back out onto the competition circuit.
He has no known vices and is a pleasure to have on the yard. The type of pony that’s described as a dog on the ground, follows you around and always first up in the field.Very sad sale so home is very important.
Based Ayrshire Scotland with excellent trail facilities 🏴

Don’t forget about lovely Spice who is having an absolute ball with us here at Meadowhead, but is of course looking for her next partner in crime 🧡🧡

On behalf of client.
15.1 15 year old ex riding school mare.
Ideal for a happy hacking home, looking to enjoy a quieter life after being in the riding school. Easy to do in all ways. Great with traffic, bikes, and dogs. More woah than go. Barefoot, good doer, easy going with a sensible head on her shoulders.
Mid four figures.

🦁 One not for the faint hearted 🦁
On behalf of our client we are delighted to bring to you the fabulous ''Bea'' 🐝
Bea is a 15.1hh turbo cob who is looking for a specific home who for the right person is going to have a lot of fun.
Bea is 16 going on 6 she's loves to work and has a spring in her step the entire time you ride her.
Having been in a family home in Ireland for many years as a complete allrounder come turbo cob she's bold, brave and done everything there is to do when you're a horse.
She's no stranger to the hunt field, cross country, hacking, showjumping & even the odd bit of showing. 🐎
Bea has recently returned to work after having a good few years off being a mummy at a well known stud down south.
For this reason she's being sold very much as a work in progress. She schools beautifully 80% of the time and would absolutely thrive in the show ring. The other 20% she can be joggy bouncy and eager to get forward.
She really jumps and absolutely LOVES it. Great news, she will jump absolutely anything you point her to. Bad news she enjoys doing so at a gallop so would need a lot of work and patience to get her calm and steady.
Hacking wise she will go alone and in company and will pass all sorts of cars/vans/tractors etc she is looky but not spooky.
Bea will make a confident experienced rider a superb allrounder to go out and literally do anything on.
She's a really sweet mare that although can be fizzy and excitable just wants to have a bit of fun and is eager to please.
On the ground she's a sweetheart with great manners and easy to do.
She's a good doer type that lives on fresh air.
A seriously fun project for the right person
Excellent trail facilities
Mid 4's

Hunter out and about today, proving just how bold and brave he is 💙
Hunter is currently in with us on a sales livery basis and is looking for a new home where ideally he'd be out hacking/hunting and thundering through fields regularly 🐎
Not much phases this boy on the roads, having hacked & hunted all his days he's seen the world & knows what to expect
A forward going fun chap with manners to die for and simply the best nature we are sure he'll make someone a best friend 💞
How many horses can you pull out at 9pm, ride in the thickest of fog and canter around with no reins?
Here's Hunter 🐎
Our clients horse who's currently for sale, what's not to love about this boy 🥰
We've been busy busy the last few weeks working away on breakers/schoolers and sales liveries 🐎
We are already onto our 4th breaker/schooler of the year which wouldn't be possible without the help of our team 💖
Rachel's been part of team Meadowhead since the day and hour we opened and has recently been riding out a lot more on clients horses as a second test dummy before ensuring they are ready for home 🏡
Here we have Rachel Hadley riding the lovely 'Fiadh' the 5yr old Irish draught mare who has been here for the last few weeks on breaking livery 🥰
Not long until we wave goodbye to 'Fiadh' but for just now I think Rachel has a new yard favourite
🦄 A bitter sweet morning as we wave Susie off back home 🦄
Susie was our first schooling livery of 2024 & what a pleasure it was to work with her and her lovely owners 💞
Susie came to us to further her education, get her riding in an outline and learn a little bit more about the showjumping world.
Here's her progression video, safe to say she's exceeded all expectations and we are sure she will be one to watch in both the show ring and the jumping ring.
Big thanks again to her owners for trusting us with their special wee girl 💖
