The Purr Hotel began as Pooch and Purr Pet services in the southside of Glasgow, offering dog walking and cat sitting. Before that I (Rebekka) worked as an apprentice groom on horseyards, and then while building up the Pet Services business I worked during the summer at a local kennel/cattery.
We moved to Ayrshire in 2016 and started the pet hotel, after hearing from clients (and from personal experience) of what a traditional cattery offered and wanting to improve upon what is expected from a cattery service. Our motto is that it should be a holiday for our pets too!
We donβt just focus on physical excercise and play for our boarding guests, we look at mental enrichment for them too. Providing a relaxing environment means our feline guests will enjoy their holiday, and with sensory toys and puzzle games they have something to occupy their minds whenever we arenβt there with them.
Everything we offer at our cat hotel has a thought process behind it, we like to look at things from the perspective of the cat - is there good snoozing spots? Perfect ambush spots for that notorious little red dot at playtimes? Vertical scratching spots to have a good olβ stretch? And much more!
