Hi everyone!
This September, I’m stepping out of my usual dog walking boots and into a pair of running shoes… because I’m taking on the Great North Run to raise money for the Great North Air Ambulance.
It’s a cause close to my heart - not just as someone who’s out on the roads every day, but also in my role as a firefighter. The GNAA are often the difference between life and death when time is critical. They provide an incredible service across our region, and many of us in the emergency services have seen just how vital they are.
So while the dogs might not be running alongside me, I’ll definitely be channeling their energy to get through the 13.1 miles!
