Purple. It can be quite tricky to get the darker colours to pop but I think we nailed it with this one.

Conker. English bridle leather with solid, hand polished brass. I’ve put a darker edge coat on this set and while it was a bit trickier I think it was worth it, I really like the finish.

Navy blue, hand dyed into full grain, Italian vegetable tanned cowhide butt. Hand stitched using a contrasting (white) braided thread and fitted with our solid, hand polished brass.

I’ll be honest, I haven’t spent as much time this last week in our little workshop, I spent most of it eating and sleeping. Even at the shop I’ve been power napping in the office - I’m tired, it happens; if we haven’t responded to you yet it’s not because we’re ignoring you, it’s be because we’ve needed to take a break from it all, it’s easy to get consumed by all this - it can soon become a 24-7 deal and it’s not fair on us as a family, everything else gets neglected.
I also don’t spend as much time on here as I used to, it’s like putting 10p in the di*****ds -just fodder for the useless so I post photos up every now and then because I know there’s a lot of you that enjoy seeing what we do.
All of that though doesn’t mean we’re idle, we work as hard as ever to bring you the product that is clearly still as popular as it’s always been. I can’t work any harder or faster, my priority when it comes to this business has and always will be the customer. We are however as busy as ever; we are though better prepared to deal with the volume of work that we generate.
Anyway I trust you are well and if you need us for anything then phoning is quickest, we don’t have time to sit and tap out wordy emails and messages all day; we’d never get owt done!

Good morning guys.
I didn’t work Wednesday or yesterday, I’ve given it a go this morning but pretty much turned around and came home. I’m tired, very tired. I’ve spent the last couple of days just eating and sleeping. We do a lot of hours over at the shop and get little time for ourselves, the last 6 weeks in particular have been testing to say the least with the kids being off school.
I need to rest up which I’m going to do today and over the weekend, I’ll be back firing on all cylinders
on Monday.
I apologise if this affects you and any orders/updates/tracking/photos or what have you but I need the R&R.

Check that out for a buckle. Enamelled, beautifully detailed and fitted with an 1880 US silver dollar. The blue enamelled coin is a genuine Irish one, the extra detail looks amazing. I might very well make myself something out of this.

Gordon’s harness. Gordon is a big dog, a GSD x Doberman pinscher, he needed something robust. Dark Havana coloured English bridle leather, solid brass findings and hand stitched.

It’s the attention to detail that’s gives you the finish. Aim for 100%. You won’t always achieve it - in fact very rarely will you achieve it, 80% is usually acceptable. Aim for 80% and you’ll only get 60%. That is not acceptable.

The hand dyed into veg tan collars always have been and always will be a favourite - for the customer and for us making them, the results are incredibly satisfying.
