What a fantastic evening we have had, albeit rather blustery! Thank you to everyone who came and supported our Clear Round evening. You were all absolutely amazing and we are so proud of all of you for taking part. Hopefully we will see some more new faces at our next one on the 21st of August 😀 Enjoy your rosettes everyone! 🏵️
Officially introducing Molly! ❤️ She will be starting lessons in a few weeks once she has settled and gone through the assessment process. 🦄
We are now back from our lovely week away. We had the best time and we were even blessed with the weather! 😎
Here is what we have coming up this week …
🐴 This Wednesday (the 3rd) is Stable Management evening. 6pm - 7pm. To include theory and practical stable management and a half hour riding/riding & road safety lesson. £25 per person.
❗️If you haven’t already booked your place, please get in touch as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. You will not be automatically booked on. Here is a list of the names that we have down to attend so far: Sofia, Penelope, Elsie, Darcie, Lori, Darcey, Olivia & Lily. If your name isn’t on this list and you wish to book on, then please send us a message if you haven’t already done so. ✉️
🔸 Private/ Semi Private Lessons available:
⭐️ 5pm on Friday. ⭐️
If we are able to offer out any further availability for Private/ Semi Private lessons this week, we will post them onto our page.
🔸We have some spaces available on Novice group lessons throughout this week. We also have space available on our Friday Advanced group this week. If you wish to book an additional or alternative group lesson for this week, please get in touch and we will advise our availability.
🏇🏻The next Team Show Jumping will be held on Friday the 19th of July. Please ensure that you let us know with plenty of notice if you cannot attend. Jumping will start at 5pm again with start lists to be published that week.
❗️A reminder to everyone that we now have a £2 charge for hat hire (excluding new rider’s/ those that have started riding in the last 6 months). Payment is by cash only. This is to encourage everyone to purchase their own riding hat that meets current safety standards and is correctly fitted. As a riding school, we incur the costs of buying hats/ replacing them when necessary and feel that those committed to the sport should own their own hat most of all for their own safety.

☀️ What a beautiful evening we had for Stable Management last night. We continued practising our Mounted Games for our ridden practical and then enjoyed a lungeing demonstration before everyone got to have a go for themselves.
Please prepare for your Points of the Horse Quiz next time by revising out of your Pony Club Manuals. Our next Stable Management evening is set for Wednesday the 3rd of July. We hope to see you all there! 😀🐴
🎠 Bending, stepping stones and passing the baton is all part of what we did in our mounted games at last night’s Stable Management evening. 😀 Well done to everyone for getting so involved, we hope you enjoyed it. Mounted games are a great way to improve your confidence, balance and overall control as a rider.
We also did some more revision on Points of the Horse ready for our quiz next time. Please ensure you use the diagram given to you all to revise before next time.❗️🙏🏻
We also discussed the use of supplements and their uses in hard feed after learning lots about different feed types last time. For those of you who haven’t already purchased one, we strongly recommend buying the 14th edition of the Pony Club Manual so that you can read up and revise on all that we are learning when at home in the meantime. 📚
Our next Stable Management evening will be held on Wednesday the 19th of June from 6pm - 7pm. Please get in touch to book your place. 😊
Summer is officially here! 🙌🏻 The jumping field is back for 2024. 🥳
What a fantastic afternoon we had on Pony Club yesterday with an ‘Eggcellent’ Easter Egg Hunt to finish. Thank you to everyone who attended, enjoy your goodies! 🐣🪺
☔️ We enjoyed a very soggy hack today but it didn’t stop us! 💪🏻 Thank you to everyone who joined today’s Novice Hack, we hope you all had a great time. ☺️
A short video of our ‘Leading Ponies’ practice at Pony Club this week. Learning how to be safe and in control of your pony when handling from the ground, whilst practicing some basic school movements at the same time. 🐴
Well done to everyone. 👏🏻
Another soggy day for our Valentines Advanced Hack today but it didn’t dampen our enthusiasm. A great time was had by all. 🤠🏇🏻
Well, it’s pretty wild up here. 💨🌨️
Plenty of snow drifts now, some are quite deep in places. Let’s pray for a thaw overnight. 🙏🏻
We hope you are all home safely. 💕
🌨️ We don’t know if you have snow where you are, but we certainly do. 😫 The video below is of this morning and it has since got much worse.
Unfortunately this does mean that all Thursday lessons will have to be cancelled. You will be booked in for your usual lesson time next week unless you state otherwise.
We also have availability on group lessons this Saturday for those of you wanting to rebook this week’s lesson. Please let me know as soon as possible if you wish to book a lesson for this Saturday and we will advise our availability. 😊
We are hopeful that with the forecast for overnight and tomorrow that we may be able to continue with lessons as planned on Friday. We will post an update in the morning. 🤞🏻🙏🏻
Stay safe and warm everyone and please accept our apologies. 🫶🏻
It’s stopped now but this was this morning … 🌨️
❗️Due to what is now persistent, torrential rain we have made the difficult decision to cancel the 4.30 lesson. We will monitor the weather and make a decision half an hour before each lesson as to whether we feel we can continue or not. You will be contacted if your lesson is cancelled. ☹️
