Dogs Walk This Way Rescue is a dog rescue that saves lives, rehabilitates dogs who are in need the most, here in in the UK.

We take dogs in for several Dog Wardens in the South East. We have boarding facilities in Heathrow and foster homes across the UK Dogs Walk This Way Rescue's is run by Rachael and her band of dedicated volunteers. Our aim is one thing, saving lives of the dogs who need it most. After Rachael visited Romania, many years ago, and witnessed the torture that these poor dogs suffer, she could not walk

away without trying to make a difference. These dogs have been through hell and back, and deserve to be shown what real human love and kindness is. Dogs Walk This Way Rescue works with a team of trusted rescuers in Romania where the dogs are fully assessed before coming to the UK to start their new lives. We have a volunteer team in the UK who support Rachael to keep the rescue running. Dogs Walk This Way Rescue also have an amazing UK Vet, who fully supports our mission in to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome these deserving dogs. Our experienced volunteers offer adopters full support and guidance and full, ongoing rescue back up. We send aid to Romania as often as we can. This includes food, bedding, medications etc so if you can donate to making the dogs lives in Romania a little more bearable please get in touch about the storage location. Funds are always needed to save as many dogs as possible so even if you cannot physically adopt a dog please consider donating or even sponsoring a dog. If you can foster for us please get in touch. We would like to welcome Reggie to the DWTW family.

Reggie unfortunately finds himself in our care as his owner’s health issues means that she is unable to give him the exercise he needs. Reggie is a 1 1/2yr old busy working cocker spaniel. He is currently in foster and under assessment but he is dog and person friendly. Reggie will suit a home experienced with spaniels and his rehoming advert will be posted soon.

We would like to welcome Rosie to the DWTW team 💖

Rosie has come to us from Southern Sighthound Rescue . She is originally from Romania and arrived as part of group of sighthounds that Sarah, the founder, agreed to help with and they are a specialised sighthound rescue dealing with greyhounds, whippets and lurcher type dogs. As Rosie is a pointer cross they felt that she would be better placed with a more generic rescue such as ourselves to give her the best chance of finding a home. This would also allow a kennel space to become free for Southern Sighthounds to save another sighthound from the pound that would otherwise be put to sleep.

We are good friends and have worked with Sarah and her rescue multiple times in the past so were only too pleased to help. Rosie has arrived and is settling in well to her foster home. She is a sweet pointer cross female and is approximately 1-2yrs old. Rosie is currently under assessment and her advert will be coming soon.

A huge thank you to every volunteer and Fosterer who helps our dogs. We couldn’t help the dogs we do without some incredible selfless people. This includes our lovely volunteers who help walk our dogs and help with anything we need such as transport runs, vet runs, fundraising events etc, our amazing fosterers for taking dogs into your home and getting them ready for their forever homes and our amazing core team which consist of foster coordinator, rehoming coordinators, home check coordinators, follow up coordinators, social media coordinators and phone handler, microchip coordinator and admin/book keeping coordinator and fundraising coordinator. We are all volunteers and all have one thing in common and that is dedicated to helping dogs in need ❤️

Today we welcomed Rhubarb to the DWTW family 💖

Rhubarb was found as a stray on the street and was not microchipped. She served her stray days and no one came forward to claim her. Rhubarb is thought to be approximately 6 months old and looks like a Staffie cross Terrier mix. She has now been microchipped, started her vaccinations and is settling in well in her foster home. She is currently under assessment so please do not apply for her just yet.

Tonight we welcome gorgeous little Sable to the DWTW family 💖

Sable is a mixed breed and is approx 15 weeks old. His owner has surrendered him to us as she is unable to cope with him. Sable is settling into his foster home and under assessment so please do not apply for him just yet.

Rhubarb is our Friday Moood, hope you all have a great weekend!🎄❤️

Maisy Breed -Patterdale Terrier Mix Size - Medium Sex - Female Age - approx 4-6years Can live with children - ✅ Can live with dogs - ❌ Can live with cats - ❌ Our gorgeous Maisy is still looking for her forever home! Maisy joined us as part of a large group of dogs seized from a hoarders home. She was in poor condition and nursing a litter of pups when seized. She has now been in a foster home for several weeks learning to adjust to living life in the big wide world. Maisy loves cuddles and chilling on the sofa. She can be playful at times but is happy to relax in company at home. She loves a woodland walk and has a keen eye for squirrel and other prey spotting. For this reason Maisy is unsuitable to live with cats and small furries. She loves to run and forage in leaves. Maisy is dog reactive due to lack of socialisation in her past life. She will continue to need support and training around other dogs in her new home. Maisy is great with children and loves meeting people. She is friendly with every person she meets. She is patient at mealtimes and sleeps downstairs on her own at night. Maisy travels well in the car and is house trained. Could you be the home that Maisy is looking for? This sweet girl joined us after being found as a stray. Honey is currently in foster with 3 other dogs. She gets on well with them and enjoys a play. However she can be a bossy boots with the other dogs and some dogs may find this off putting if they are living with her. Honey loves her walks and will happily walk for an hour and a half. She is great both on and off the lead and is keen to say hello to passing people and dogs regardless of size and breed. She is fine with joggers and cyclists. Honey is an easy dog. She travels well in the car, enjoys a game of fetch, was happy meeting the vet and is house trained. She will make a wonderful companion and enjoys cuddling up on the sofa. Most popular name was HOPE!! So we wanted to update everyone on mummy and pup Hope. Both are doing really well and pup is getting stronger by the day and is definitely a little fighter! We thought you would like to see this cute video ❤️❤️

Our Story

Dogs Walk This Way Rescue's is run by Rachael and her dedicated volunteers. Rachaels aim is one thing, saving lives of the doggies who most need it. After she visited Romania a few years ago and seeing the torture that these poor doggies suffer she could not walk away not trying to make a difference. A small difference, but it is still a difference for one doggie who has been through hell and back and deserves to be shown what real human love and kindness is all about. The sad thing is that their only crime is they were born in 'Romania' :-( Dogs Walk This Way Rescue works with a team of trusted rescuers in Romania where the dogs are fully assessed before coming to the UK to start their new lives in our kennels in Binfield and Grayshott, and foster homes across the UK. After assessment we look for new forever families for the doggies. We have a volunteer team here in the UK who work hard with exercising, training and socialising the dogs, fundraising, collecting donations, home-checking, re-homing and fostering. Dogs Walk This Way Rescue also have an amazing UK Vet, who fully supports their mission in finding these doggies forever homes, of which they so deserve. All the doggies adopted will have their full support and guidance. We will be sending aid to Romania every few months of food, bedding etc so if you can donate to making the doggies lives in Romania a little more bearable please get in touch about the storage location.
