(1)

We take dogs in for several Dog Wardens in the South East. We have boarding facilities in Heathrow and foster homes across the UK Dogs Walk This Way Rescue's is run by Rachael and her band of dedicated volunteers. Our aim is one thing, saving lives of the dogs who need it most. After Rachael visited Romania, many years ago, and witnessed the torture that these poor dogs suffer, she could not walk

away without trying to make a difference. These dogs have been through hell and back, and deserve to be shown what real human love and kindness is. Dogs Walk This Way Rescue works with a team of trusted rescuers in Romania where the dogs are fully assessed before coming to the UK to start their new lives. We have a volunteer team in the UK who support Rachael to keep the rescue running. Dogs Walk This Way Rescue also have an amazing UK Vet, who fully supports our mission in to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome these deserving dogs. Our experienced volunteers offer adopters full support and guidance and full, ongoing rescue back up. We send aid to Romania as often as we can. This includes food, bedding, medications etc so if you can donate to making the dogs lives in Romania a little more bearable please get in touch about the storage location. Funds are always needed to save as many dogs as possible so even if you cannot physically adopt a dog please consider donating or even sponsoring a dog. If you can foster for us please get in touch. We cannot do this without the support of all the animal lovers so please like and share our page, as sometimes it only takes one share to save a doggies life :-)

We have kennels in Longcross and foster homes across the UK. Paypal details.... [email protected]

Desperately seeking foster for Rogue. She is a sweet girl but a little selective with some dogs and can be reactive so needs managing. She’s 8 years old and from what we know spent most her life living outside and ended up being dumped and found herself with the warden. We wanted to help her but sadly her Fosterer is a dog walker and because she can be a little tricky with some dogs, she cannot manage her with several clients dogs and needs to put them first. She’s only been with us 2 days so it’s very early days for her and needs time to settle and learn the ropes but her Fosterer said she is clean in the house and sleeps in a crate but is desperate to be with someone so someone who is around a lot would be ideal as currently she doesn’t like to be left so needs to be done slowly. Rogue could potentially live with a calm dog but would need to be able to separate or manage.

Rogue is looking for a quiet calm home where she can de compress and someone who can ensure she has positive interactions with all dogs and manage her when she does react.

We really don’t want to have to put her in kennels after all she’s been through 🥲

No cats and we have not yet child tested and although she loves everyone she meets we feel she needs to be in an adult only home.

Please message me if you can help this older girl and share her plea as it’s urgent we find someone asap. 🙏🏻

Desperately looking for experienced fosterers. We have several dogs in urgent need of a fosterer. We also need fosterers who will take bigger dogs and dogs that may need a little more training. Some need cat free homes, child free homes or dog free homes. We will support each fosterer and cover all costs, all we ask in return is that the fosterer is experienced, will not leave the dog for more the 4 hours, exercise the dog for 1-2 hours a day or adequate exercise for the individual dog depending on their needs. Live 1 hour from Windlesham, Surrey and be able to provide lots of TLC to the dogs who need it most.

Fostering is so rewarding and whilst it can be challenging at times seeing a dog flourish and go off to its forever homes is the best feeling in the world.

Having lost our half way house we sadly cannot help anymore dogs until we have a bigger network of experienced fosterers for all dogs, shapes and sizes!

If you are interested and want to know more please message us.

Welcome Bramble to the DWTW family. Bramble’s owner sadly passed away and needed someone to take her on as no family were able to. Bramble is 13 years old and she was with her owner for 4 years who came from another rescue who did in fact take Bramble back but 2 days later dumped her back at the property of the owner claiming she had gone for a cat. We were told that she isn’t good with cats but lots of dogs aren’t! Sadly we do not know the rescue otherwise we would make contact with them as quite frankly they should be utterly ashamed of themselves!!

Bramble is a sweet girl who has been through so much having lost her owner who doted on her. She has been in foster a week and settling. She will soon be looking for her forever home where she can live out her retirement like a queen ❤️

Please give a warm welcome to Riri! She was signed over to us last week due to her owners personal circumstances which meant sadly she could not keep her. Riri is around 2-3 years old and is currently in foster and is still under assessment. She is proving to be a very sweet girl who is great with dogs and children. She will be soon looking for her forever home ❤️

DESPERATELY looking for two fosterers for two large 9 months old boys. Owners wish to surrender both dogs (separate owners) and are in need of help but sadly we don’t have any fosters available 😢

Buddy is a 9 month old (un neutered) greyhound/saluki mix who’s super friendly and larger than life. He is currently living in a small 1 bed caravan due to owner becoming homeless and having to sleep on his mother’s sofa. The garden is tiny and not secure and he is not getting exercised so no wonder he has lots of energy! He’s good with dogs but can be a little rough with his play but we expect this to calm down with training, guidance and exercise. When the dog we tested him with was calm, so was he. Due to his size and energy levels we will not consider homes with small children.
In the right foster with all his needs caterered for we believe he will be really rehomeable but we just need to get him out of his current situation asap.

Dexter is also 9 months old (un neutered) black lab mix (think possibly Weimaraner) playful boy but is worried about the outside world due to his owners putting him into the car to take him to a field for off lead exercise so he does pull on the lead which will need work. He is house trained and can be left for a few hours. He is too much for their elderly dog and in the wrong environment sadly. Due to his size we would not place him with young children.

Both have been assessed by us and we would really like to help them, we just need two fosters who would be willing to take them on (separately) NO CATS to both boys.

Both boys could go with another dog but Buddy is currently and only dog. We are looking for an experienced person who is used to large dogs. In the right hands and environment both dogs will be super!
As a foster we will support you with training, equipment, food, cover all vets bills etc and the only requirement is that you must live 1 hour from our vets in Windlesham, Surrey. If you would like to help these two babies please please fill in a foster application form and we will call to discuss in more detail.

If you cannot foster please share these boys as the situation is desperate. 🙏🏻 thank you

Meet Jack, another case of sheer neglect. He was found laying lifeless in the road and no one has come forward for him nor was he chipped so likely dumped and discarded like rubbish 😢💔
He’s only young, around 6 months old. He was very skinny, has kennel cough and anaemic. He is very weak but getting stronger daily. He’s been seen by the vet and has medication. He is currently in foster and doing well. Please do consider donating towards his care. 🙏🏻

We will keep everyone updated on his progress over the coming weeks.

When will people stop abandoning these poor innocent babies 😢💔

Meet Bonnie. We are heartbroken by this poor girls story and the state she arrived to us in. Her owner passed away suddenly and Surrey Police asked us to help as the next of kin wasn’t interested in taking her on. Bonnie was riddled with fleas and has severe hair loss as a result. She also looks like she’s had multiple litters 😢💔 she was seen by the out of hours vet last night where she stayed until we collected her today. They gave her a flea treatment today but weren’t willing to do anything else due to funds. Sorry state of affairs really when money comes into the welfare of a poor animal 😢💔 she has been signed over to us and is currently in foster and will be seen by our vet tomorrow where she will have some further tests done. She’s very sweet we cannot wait to see her blossom once she’s given the correct care. We will need help paying the vet’s bills 🙏🏻 as this is the second welfare case we’ve helped with in a few days. If anyone would like to help donate please do so in the usual way…. NatWest, sort code 60 04 20, Account no 94657149 or Paypal [email protected] (friends and family) We will keep you posted on her progress but for now she’s safe and warm and has a belly full of food, with a kind loving fosterer ❤️

Lilly

Breed - Lab cross Staffy
Size - Medium
S*x - Female
Age - 7yrs

Can live with children - ✅ 12yrs and above
Can live with dogs - ❌
Can live with cats - ❌

This sweet girl is sadly looking for a new home after her owner passed away. She is currently being cared for by friends who unfortunately are unable to keep her. Lilly is person friendly who loves to cuddle up to you on the sofa and give you lots of slobbery kisses.

Lilly enjoys her walks and is good both on and off the lead. She is good when meeting dogs out and about but did show some potential resource guarding indoors around other dogs so would be best to live as an only dog. Lilly has lived as an only dog and is happy with this.

Lilly travels well in a crate in the car. She enjoys a game of fetch, is able to be left at home alone and is house trained.

Could you be the home that Lilly is looking for? To apply for Lilly please use the link below. Adoption fee applies and 5 weeks free pet insurance is offered as part of the adoption package.

Our Story

Dogs Walk This Way Rescue's is run by Rachael and her dedicated volunteers. Rachaels aim is one thing, saving lives of the doggies who most need it. After she visited Romania a few years ago and seeing the torture that these poor doggies suffer she could not walk away not trying to make a difference. A small difference, but it is still a difference for one doggie who has been through hell and back and deserves to be shown what real human love and kindness is all about. The sad thing is that their only crime is they were born in 'Romania' :-( Dogs Walk This Way Rescue works with a team of trusted rescuers in Romania where the dogs are fully assessed before coming to the UK to start their new lives in our kennels in Binfield and Grayshott, and foster homes across the UK. After assessment we look for new forever families for the doggies. We have a volunteer team here in the UK who work hard with exercising, training and socialising the dogs, fundraising, collecting donations, home-checking, re-homing and fostering. Dogs Walk This Way Rescue also have an amazing UK Vet, who fully supports their mission in finding these doggies forever homes, of which they so deserve. All the doggies adopted will have their full support and guidance. We will be sending aid to Romania every few months of food, bedding etc so if you can donate to making the doggies lives in Romania a little more bearable please get in touch about the storage location. Funds are always needed to save as many doggies as possible so even if you cannot physically adopt a doggie please consider sponsoring a doggies travel for their second chance. If you can foster for us please also get in touch. We cannot do this without the support of all the animals lovers so please like and share our page as sometimes it only takes one share to save a doggies life :-) Paypal details....
